LSU has the 38th ranked defense so far in the nation through 4 games

If you had told me before season that the defense would be 38th at this point, I would NOT have predicted 4-0.

15th in scoring defense and T-7th in forced turnovers though. Kind of balances that out.
It is surprising that teams have been able to move the ball as well as they have, but the defense is has done pretty good overall.

Its isn't accurate to go by national rankings when have had the toughest schedule in the nation thus far.

Total defense is simply just not as important as scoring defense.
And most teams have played a weaker schedule, our rankings should improve as our opponents' numbers come back down to Earth.

Still can.
We're giving up 14.8 pts/game. That would've been 4th in the country last year at the end of the season. We've played a tougher schedule so far than just about everyone.

Lol. I mean kind of WTF. Don't forget we've been all around flat against our "cupcakes," we quit second half against Miami, and offense was clutch when needed against a very good Auburn team.

As of right now the teams LSU has played have the following ranked total offenses:
-Miami (45th)
-Southeastern (NR - FCS)
-Auburn (89th)
-Louisiana Tech (27th)
These don't really mean anything. I just like looking at numbers.
