Louisiana is a poor state and LSU is not turning out wealthy alumni. We are second to last in the SEC behind Mississippi State in academic rankings. Like it or not, the future of college football will be pay for play and the top players will not be going anywhere without top pay. School pride, state pride, love of our culture will all take a back seat to the almighty dollar.

I have news for you. It’s been pay for play for 80 years. Now payments are in the open.

Disagree. Just need to shake the trees. Saban had to do this at bama .

That's what people don't understand. We've held or own dollars wise for decades. Especially since Saban got here.

I have a feeling we have a few guys on staff who just aren't good recruiters. And that's a recipe for disaster in the SEC if you aren't STRONG in the ability to recruit. Throughout the whole staff.

Right, but now those that didn’t want to pay under the table will now dish it out legally

We are poor and dysfunctional. Known nationally for being at the bottom in poverty, education and health along with MS and AR. Can’t blame kids for wanting to leave for money or just a new start

False. LSU ranks 6th in SEC is starting salaries. Behind Vandy, Aggies, Georgia; Florida, and Auburn. Those salaries haven’t helped Aggies or Vandy win squat.

Just because LSU grads leave Louisiana doesn’t mean they won’t support the program.

What do those numbers represent and where did you get them?

Must be endowment. That has nothing to do with how much is spent on athletics or NIL. If it did, Harvard would win the championship every year.

Well, we are not permitted to discuss things like mean IQ among groups. So there's that.

That’s endowment and it’s not accurate. LSU just had a massive fundraising drive that doubled our endowment to over 1.1 billion. Fierce for the Future.
