Not how Wade’s lawyer characterized it, from what I’m reading (if proven true) it appears the whole 17-year-old fiancé extortion thing might have sank Wade’s ship. Might be complete crap, might be stuff before Wade even took over. Apparently some reports I’m reading don’t mention it much.
ETA: I find it kinda odd the extortionist never leaked this since this would be WAY more damning against Wade than the wiretap if true

You can now legally pay players. Who gives a crap if players got paid in the past. LSU should have sued and made the NCAA defend that payers can be paid now, and they got screwed in the past. LSU and Woodward look weak. And they should have threatened they would spill the beans on all other pay for play.

I like it. Wade is a mediocre coach. We get to fire him for cause. We don't have to pay him out. Woodward will go and hire a great coach. As an LSU alum. Wade is an embarrassment to me. This may be the last of the coaches from the previous era who needed to go. I think the future will be bright for LSU Basketball.
Other schools cheat too. I get it! Let's move on and clean this up.
