UF had a bad year and got a new HC. Do you think we'd actually pull the trigger like they did and get rid of leslie?)

What ? Ron Zook never won a NC. Are you saying one losing conference record even after a NC should be grounds for dismissal ??

Good grief, you Sabanistas are too much sometimes.

Another idiot post....they played the Citadel..if you have your man covered a good QB won't throw that way!!! Jenkins is good but PP should have made all freshman team!!!! One of few bright spots on D!!!

BB186 you are the mindless douchebag. Passes defensed is the clearest illustration of proven pass defense. It is a clear indicator of being in position to defend the ball. So what if opposing QB's continue to throw into coverage, Jenkins knows where to be on the field to defend against it. WTF are you really trying to say?

A coach that has our number with a superior QB, talented defense, and home field advantage = sure fire LSU victory? Got it.

"Patrick Peterson
31 tackles - 9 assists - 40 total -1.5 tackles for loss
1 interception
3 breakups
1 QB hurry

Janoris Jenkins
24 tackles - 10 assists - 34 total - 1 tackle for loss
3 interceptions
11 breakups
1 forced fumble

I'll take the dude with 3 int's and 11 breakups, what else do you need to see. No comparison on those 2."

For anyone who actually went to the games and observed you'd know that by mid-season PP wasn't being picked on very much and most of his tackles were made in the zone defense, on running plays and dragging down receivers running away from other DB's. He got burned a couple of times but far less than the other corners and he'll only get better.

just like Texas, SC, OU and Florida all lost respect when they went down after winning titles

None of those teams got blown out like we did this year. I think we lost a lot of credibility but we can always bring it back.

None of them went 7-5 and dropped out of the top 25.

Your comments are non-factual. Did PP improve? Yes? Is he physical and have above average athletic ability? Yes. Was he an above average CB by the end of the season? No, the AR game either. He consistently was not in position to defend passes, the # 1 task for a CB. Can he be a great player? Yes. Is he now? NO. The UF player had a much better season. Why do so many LSU fans refuse to acknowledge other schools recruit great players, who, for the most part, had much superior seasons compared to LSU players? It's not a one institution sport.

When's the last time we gave up 50 twice in a year? When's the last time we lost three SEC home games? Had 5 losses? Had Ole Miss take pity on us instead of going up by 20+?

Hard to be confident in getting a win at the grove next year at this point.
