Yeah ... and then make sure that on 2nd & 2 and 3rd & 2 late in the 4th quarter, have a lead, and need to simply get a first down and force the opponent to use timeouts .... we pass ... twice.

Seems likely Miles was telling Beckwith what he needs to hear to ensure a commitment. Really hope Miles doesn't plan to use him on offense as Miles has proven he has little idea how to successfully run a wildcat. Ware as a wildcat QB was an abject failure, and I doubt a player devoting 95% of his practice time to defense would turn out any better.

LSU commitment Kendell Beckwith received the honor, and during an on-air interview with reporter Jacques Doucet, the former East Feliciana quarterback/linebacker said Tigers coach Les Miles had spoken to him about a package with him operating as a wildcat QB for the offense.

I love how he tells the reporter in the interview about Miles telling him they want to run some plays with him at Wildcat and then says "It will be a surprise for Tiger fans".

Better than you're other qb recruits.

I hope this happens twice during the year. The first time it will work for a big first down or a touchdown close to the goal line. Everyone on here will have a boner saying Beckwith should be the starting QB and that Mett sucks. We will hear that for 4-5 weeks until they run it again. This time it is 3rd and short and it gets shut down. Then everyone says Miles should be fired for calling such stupid plays and predictable formations.

We already have a bench full of dual purpose qb's why do we need to use another position player as a wildcat.

If we do not better utilize the wildcat by just having him try to run a dive off left guard with no forward momentum on 4th down with the box stacked, whats the point anyway.

Waste of ink

This gif perfectly personifies what people think when they watch Les Miles on the sidelines at LSU. Tommy Lee Jones reaction is my reaction and most LSU fans reaction when they watch LSU's offense take the field.

Not sure why this is so funny.

This has nothing to do with Shep.

Miles said to expect some Ware in a QB package.. and got a little Ware in a QB package..

Again, I'm all for a bull dozing presence at QB if it's a thick QB that can pickup short yards even when everyone knows he's running.

LSU has tried that play and has not had much success. Nothing to get exicted about.

Beckwith probably reads the rant and is trolling all the "shepard should throw a pass" people. He knows it will agonize them for four years. Well done young man. 9/10

You underestimate the duration of rantards agonization. People still agonize about Miles "winning a NC with Saban's Recruits" 8 years ago.
