Yeah, agree - a great coach regardless of what others thought about her.

Pat Henry is a great track coach no doubt. He gets a chance every year to win FOUR NCs...indoor, outdoor, mens and womens. This why he has so many. The hogs like to brag about this as well on NCs. Think about it for a second. Pat Henry has more NCs in 30 something years than Bama claims in football.

Pat Henry. Skip had 5 nat. Championships. Henry has 27. Henry chuckles at the idea that Skip was better than him.

Hold on here dude. Let's level the playing field a little. Henry coached Mens and Womens teams who each had indoor and outdoor seasons so he had an opportunity to win 4 NC's every year. Skip had 1. In track, if have 3 or 4 elite sprinters and you were probably one of only a handful of teams that had any chance of winning a NC. Those elite runners compete in multiple individual races and relays.

I wonder how many NC's Skip could have won if he coached 4 teams a year and if he could put a revolving 3 or 4 man line up of say, Brandon Larson, Eddy Furniss, Albert Belle, Brad Cress types all getting 8-10 at bats a game and your starting pitcher was your ace (Ben McDonald, Gausman, Nola) EVERY game. Winning a NC in baseball is 10X harder than track.

ok. Let's just look at women's outdoor. 13 NC's in 16 years. Greatest coach in LSU history.
