Good luck thinking you will be able to effectively stream a game online. I wont even mention the cost of trying to do it

Take a short wave radio and listen over the air.

I can't tell if that's a joke. Please inform me. What is a short wave radio?

Man I really don't think you'll be able to stream a game live at sea.

If you ask the crew and get enough people interested they will set up the game on a projector in the karaoke bar if it's during the day.

I'm unfamiliar with a short wave radio and google and that link only helped grasp a portion of this things use. This radio can pick up 98.1 in another country at any time?

Idk anything about that, but I've heard of them playing the games in the lounge on projectors. The game would likely be on espn or espn 2 and if there are enough people interested, and there will be, they will rack up in alcohol sales during the game in the lounge.

Went on a cruise in September 2011. Was definitely not a smooth ride as we went straight through Tropical Storm Lee.

The highlight was spending the day in Cancun, getting back on the boat, showering up, and catching the season opener against Oregon on the deck as we left port. They played it on the big screen. The was the only day/evening without rain and it was a pretty unique experience sitting around the deck in stadium type seating with mostly tiger fans.

Here's a thread on shortwave. LINK

I don't think you can really get it anymore. Cool at the time- hunting in Wyoming- no problem- just dial up the shortwave and get saints/LSU. It dropped off with pervasive internet/3G. BBC even stopped shortwave broadcasts- used to be able to hear it anywhere on the globe.

XM portable radio would be the real answer, but I doubt they'll broadcast the baseball.

Iridium satellite phone would work, but $2 per minute gets steep- especially when Hanagriff has the call.

Looks like you're stuck with corpulent tramp-stamped Norwalk virus laden chalmations. Get a balcony room and take duct tape and contractor bags so that you can seal the door off and fling the waste over the rails when the power and water go out.

Enjoy

It's a couple hours of my day like 3 days where me and my dad will watch a game. It's not the whole vacation.

Yes have to pay. I was on a cruise during the Lsu ole miss game a few years ago. When I found out we were behind on the 3rd qtr I went down to the internet room and paid about 80 dollars to watch the rest of the game online. Odell saved the day with the punt return. It is expensive internet

I was on the Carnival Elation in mid January (New Orleans port) and wanted to watch the LSU - Vandy basketball game. It was on ESPNU. I inquired at the bar areas, and they told me all they could get was ESPN and ESPN2.

Don't even attempt internet watching. It's like $29 for 45 minutes and the server is so slow that it took me about 25 minutes to check email. Total rip-off. It's like old "dial up" speed. I regret not asking for a refund.
