In front of a TV.

Seriousley, how do you expect people to tell you where you can find Tiger Vision over there?

18th Amendment on Capitol Hill
613 Pennsylvania Ave SE, Washington, DC 20003

In Virginia, the alumni go to Bailey's in the Ballston Mall:
4238 Wilson Blvd, Arlington, VA 22203

Because this site is huge and there are at least 30 members who are familiar with the DC metro area?

What he said. I usually go to 18th Amendment (only went to Bailey's last year for the La Tech game and the NC game).

I just moved back from DC and I would say the 18th Amendment on Capitol Hill is the best place for sure. Too many Virginia Tech fans at Bailey's.

It's one of the ESPN Gameplan games for this weekend. That might help.

Bungalow Billiards in Shirlington. Great place for Saints games too. Get there early and they have placards as to what games will be on what TV's so you can get yourself close.

Bailey's. It's on ESPN game plan and they will carry it.

Virginia Tech fans, but I'd bet they won't seem as annoying after last year.

Virginia Tech fans are always annoying.

But I'm a UVA grad, so you know, I'm biased.

Bailey's is always way too packed on Saturdays, regardless of who's playing....plus it's in the crappy Ballston Mall. 18th Amendment is a much better place to watch.

FYI -- both of the sites mentioned have large numbers of LSU fans. The local alumni chapter here in DC sends out emails and organizes viewing parties at both locations. You'll have a great time at either 18th Amendment or Bailey's.

18th Amendment is OK. I watched the national championship game there, and it was packed with a lot of LSU fans. The drawbacks for a regular season game are that it has only a few TVs and they will probably all be on the LSU game so you will not be able to watch other games while you watch ours. Also, there likely won't be many fans of other schools there, so you won't get that atmosphere of having fans from lots of different schools around. Another drawback (or advantage depending on whether this is an issue for you) is that, like all bars in D.C., 18th Amendment does not allow smoking.

Bailey's is huge and has a bunch of TVs with practically every game you would want to watch. It will be packed with fans of a bunch of different schools, with VT having the largest contingent. Being in Virginia, it does allow smoking, if that's a consideration for you. Drawbacks of Bailey's primarily relate to the quality of service. With such a huge crowd on game days, they are strangely understaffed and it can take a long time to get drinks/food, etc. Staff do not seem particularly personable or helpful, either. Location is a possible issue, depending on where you're staying while in DC, as it is pretty far outside of the district, but that is mitigated by the fact that there is a metro station just a block or so away, so access is pretty easy.

My favorite spot to watch the games is Crystal City Sports Pub in the Crystal City area of Arlington, 529 23rd St. S., Arlington VA 22202, (703)521-8215. Much smaller than Bailey's (and with MUCH better service), it still has a lot of TVs with just about any game you would want being viewable from wherever you are sitting. Their food is good, too, and they always have several specials on game days. Smoking is allowed. Location is the biggest issue here, as it is about a 10-15 minute walk from the metro, although all except maybe a block or two of that distance is through an underground mall so you are protected from any weather issues for most of the walk. They do, however, have a sizable parking lot that can be really helpful if you are driving. There are a lot of fans of other schools there, so you do get the fun of interacting with them. Georgia and Auburn fans go there a lot, along with Penn State, Ohio State and several others. Drawback of Crystal City Sports Pub is that there usually aren't very many LSU fans there on game days, although there are frequently some.

good suggestions Nuts....

I might add that a great place to watch the USC-Ohio St. game if interested is Rhino Bar in Gtown. It's an Ohio State bar that is packed and a great place to watch the game.

went there with some OSU friends to watch the UF/OSU BCSNCG... I was cheering for UF, so a lot of them wanted to kill me, but it's a good college football atmosphere.

We are staying in the capital area with no car, which of these places is the most convenient for us.

If you are cool with taking the metro, Bailey's is in the basement of the mall (Ballston Common Mall) at the Ballston metro stop.

If you make it to Crystal City Sports Pub you'd be crazy to not venture across the street after the game to the Crystal City Restaurant. Best food in town, and service.

The problem is your priorities are all out of wack. LSU should ALWAYS come before the Saints!
