Bullpen lot is already full and looks to be a nightmare.
No telling how you determine who is in what part of the line or who was there first.
If you are not there now I would recommend skipping it.
I can't imagine what the rush will be like after 5 when everyone gets off on top of what is already there.

I don't know how the people are going to get out of the parking lot since everyone is blocking their exit.

Only 3300 and my guess is with multiple people in cars it could go fast and I don't see how they will stop people from taking more than that. Landmark Security is out there and you know they won't be able to handle the rush.

It turned into a free-for-all.

That's what I assumed was going to happen. It was one of those things that could have used a cop or two, and some ropes to form lines.

But I assumed they would halfass it and it would be a gigantic shitshow.

Oh well. Y'all enjoy the fistfights over getting your free dirt.

We got to the stadium at 3:30, and the lots were full and the street was backed up. We found a spot to park and walked to the pallets and was rushed by a mob of students. I would estimate that 75% of the crowd was students. Everything was gone by 3:45. We were lucky to get 6 sections, but each weighed about 20 pounds and hard to handle. I don't think they had 3000+ squares available. I would guess the best sections were saved for boosters (somewhat confirmed by a friend in the know). It took over an hour to get out of the parking lot.

Whoever said 150 to 200 cars must’ve been only counting purple cars or Hawaiian license plates or something.

About 2:30 the crowd doubled and traffic started backing up. I was a few cars from the front. Right as they allowed the first three cars to load a group of about 100 U High kids came running up in a pack. That’s when order went out the window and people from every car got out and the free for all began. Most got one or two since they were around 20lbs each.

I’m pretty sure this was LSU’s attempt to identify all the morons that make up their fan base. Unbelievable.

I got there at 2:30. I was directed to a parking space (kinda like gameday) and was told that everyone was in order and that the cars that got there first would pull up, form a line, and they'd load the sod for each car.

At about 3:20 a bunch of people who had been waiting near the sod walked back to their cars saying they were about to start up.

Then about 3;30, it started as just a few people, then more, then a lot walking up to the sod. I saw a handful walking back with sod. After that the free for all began.

There was no one there at all trying to control the line. I made my way up and grabbed 4 pieces of sod. By this time there wasn't a whole lot left. It was extremely heavy. I had to stop four times on the way back to my car. After I loaded mine up I saw some older ladies struggling a bit so I started giving people a hand helping them carry theirs back to their cars.

After speaking to a security guy he said there were supposed to be 3600 pieces but he didn't think it was near that much.

I'm happy I was able to get some sod (1 for myself, 3 for other people who couldn't be there) but cripes, it could have been handled far better than it was. 1 person standing near the sod keeping people off until the cars were able to drive through as planned would have worked very well.

I heard on the radio that there was a guy who drove all the way in from South Carolina to get some sod to bring home but nothing was left. A lady gave him one of her pieces.

It took me over an hour to get out of the parking lot. As I was leaving the lot (at 5:00) there was a line of cars trying to get in, adding to the traffic woes.

An incredible number of people showed up only to walk away empty handed. It's a great thing LSU did to give away the sod but given how heavily it was publicized, I assumed the entire field of sod would be there. I'd certainly like to know what happened to the rest of it.

Better water it. Don't cut it or you'll mow over the yard marker.

I got mine as the free for all started and got the hell out of there quick before people were leaving. I could tell the exit was going to be a shite show if I hung around
