well those people are fricking retards. It is harsh and blunt but it is the way it is. Him being a marine or not shouldn't make this story any worse than it is.

The fact that he is a Marine does not matter concerning the fight. The Marine issue was prompted by Jacuzzi voicing his displeasure with quite a few negative comments concerning Marines earlier in the thread. Several other people debated if that actually occured. He is merely trying to make a point that it, in fact, did occur -- and that it is inappropriate.
I guess we could get back on track now and discuss in greater detail the "katrina" guy from a few years ago?
No seriously... I'm in Austin. I am monitoring this thread to find out any new information. I don't want to see LSU's image tarnished with headlines like, "JJ went Dyno-mite on a Marine". So, I keep looking for something positive that will help minimize this story's impact on the team and university.
I'm kind of thinking that I am guilty of false hope at this point.

Why would he be suspended? There are NO.... witnesses. Period. I don't understand this whole crap about dumping on the kid.
It says that in the report from the PD. You can dig and find the link.
It's somebody, possibly more than one persons, that want something free from LSU. Plain and simple.
A lot of conjecture here makes it sound like the entire team went into the bar and went all Road House on the people in the place...... which, duh, would have witnesses. Those witnesses would have pointed out the "mean people," because everyone knows when you're wasted you want to talk. Nothing like that happened.
But no arrests were made or plan on being made.
Give it a rest.

this thread would probably be 100 pages less if this guy was just another student at LSU.

fwiw the only reason it got mentioned he was a marine was his douchebag friends trying to act like that somehow changes this fight. it doesn't change what happened. I dont condone people attacking all marines and saying he deserved because he was a marine. They shouldn't have said that but its just as bad to whine and cry for him just because he is a marine and make a big deal out of it like jj and whoever attacked a marine and knew it.

This is not always true!! One of my good, but dumbass, friends was moving from one frat house to another in December of 2001, right after 9/11, and he saw a guy passed out drunk on the street. My friend got charged and convicted with assault with a deadly weapon and the judge even admitted he was going to make an example of my friend because the guy was a marine that had enlisted because of 9/11.

thats what gets me in this whole thing. all the accusations are like the players just walked into shady's looking for trouble. then decided, "hell, lets drag this random guy out of his truck and beat him. we are above the law".

oh no doubt. If this kid was just some student or a state street hippie that caught a beat down it would be gone.
problem is some people dont seem to understand the people in the fight didn't shake hands first and go over personal history so they could find out if they were going to stomp a marine.
the other part is his friends bzoner saying part of the story that shows him in a good light. so that gets everyone thinking its something more than it is. Now more has come out and like most people said the truth is in the middle of bzoners story and the LSU players side.
