Not true. Shawn King was booted and ended up at NLU. He was a high draft pick and spent several years in the NFL.

When I was in school, the bouncers acted as personal body guards to the players to make sure they didn't get in trouble.
If true, Jefferson should be punished. It is an incredibly bad decision given his stature and the timeframe.
