Do Aggies just try to suck up to everyone?

After living amongst them for 26 years, I'll just say this. I don't consider it sucking up. As a group, Aggies are just genuinely nice, downhome folks. Not a lot of pretentions, they're just good people.

Now are they passionate about their school and its traditions? Definitely!

A tad delusional at times? For sure!

But if you take the time to meet them and keep an open mind you won't find a better or more loyal and FUN friend than a Fightin' Texas Aggie, outside of the state of Louisiana.

And if you suspend belief for your time on campus, those weird-arse traditions are really pretty cool. I went to First Yell last week and saw Lyle Lovett, Robert Earl Kean, Emmylou Harris, and Rodney Crowell put on a 2.5 hour concert for free. I stayed over for Midnight Yell Practice and had a blast! Was I laughing at their "Cheer" leaders & their OLD, EXTREMELY stupid jokes about Rock the Good Ag and their "Cheers" right outta the 1920's????? Of course I was. But it was fun. I wore my LSU gear & took some playful ribbing, but I sawed varsity's Horns off & sang Hullabaloo Caneck Caneck like my life depended on it. That was my 4th Midnight Yell, but my first non-LSU one.

And they tailgate pretty hard, too. It's not LSU, but it's pretty damn good.

I would suggest you find out where Midnight Yell is in BR this year, gear up in P&G, don't be a dick, accept with a smile choruses of SSSSSSSS!!!!! (the Aggie version of BOO!!!!) and enjoy the spectacle of another college's traditions. All that shite at any school is what makes CFB so much f'in' FUN!!!!!

Having said all that, I hope we shut down JFF again & kick their sorry AGGIE asses on November 23rd!!!!

Who would think that the only smart Aggie in America reads the Rant. Amazing!

Well its usually a close game, so I'm sure there are quite a few LSU fans that are "nervous" about the game too. But fearful? Very concerned? Come on.

No, it's not the typical "LSU is good, they might actually beat us" nervous. It's that they are already expecting LSU to win. It's more of a fear that LSU is going to dominate the game and expose that Bama just isn't elite this year. Expose the weak OL for what it is... Expose the weak DL for what it is... And expose the fact that you only have one good CB. ...So yeah, it's closer to fear than being nervous. Can't say I'm not enjoying Bama fans finding a little humility.

Don't say you don't give a damn what an Aggie thinks because you read the Subject line and clicked to see.

Really I don't give a damn . I am a GEAUX TIGER fan . But to tell the truth there are 3 other teams I have liked and have followed , one of the teams I dreaded when LSU would play them. A&M is that team . Ole Miss is the 2nd , my mom and dad were born in Liberty Mississippi . the Vols , I live in Tennessee a hate like affair with them . The stop of Cannon on the goal-line was when I 1st started wondering if the SEC officals were watching the same game that I was watching .
The good about your Aggies is you team has made the SEC even stronger . Thank you for that . Now for the bad .
Johhny Football is on the wrong team . One other thing . Players we would have a chance to get from Texas will stay home and still play in the SEC , with the Aggies . Once again I will dread this years game , I do not get mad when A&M beats the Tigers I just get down till next season .
I almost did a double back flip last season when the Aggies beat Bama ,BTW I am 67 .Now Bama is a different story . Hope we have another good game a great game for me would be LSU 3 The Aggies 0 that would mean we stopped Mr Johnny Football. I know that will not happen , so here is too another great game between two of my favorite teams GEAUX TIGERS !!!

They are talking about this post at the LSU party I'm at. It's smart and confident. That's very rare these days.

I have respect for the LSU coaching staff after seeing several talented powerhouse programs in the toilet right now because of bad coaching.

They have all the talent in the world, but their teams play like a pile of assholes because they aren't coached well.

Overall, Les Miles is tremendously underrated as a coach. He is the most important thing a coach can be. He's "effective". To our disappointment, your program will never decline with Les Miles as the head coach.

And..... A&M is playing championship football as well. Just need to get the defense to show up. Can't wait for A&M vs LSU in Tiger stadium. Well written critique and props to our program. Much appreciated and acknowledged.
