Boise State
Oklahoma
Ohio State
LSU

Just saw on Sports Center with SVP.

I know everyone probably knows this, but it's still nice to see the graphic, especially for recruiting purposes.

And you know, that coach we had in the early 2000's that actually turned the program around

Great stat. Wins don't matter without championships. That's just a fact.

Actually thats the exact opposite of a fact.
Where are all these championships that don't need wins in order to be crowned a champion.

So you would be just as happy having losing seasons for all those years except the years we won championships?

No it not.

Exactly. TD needs to make every new poster go through a tutorial on what a fact is and what an opinion is.

Apparently winning 2 games and no titles is just as meaningful as winning 10 games and no titles .

There's a few posters that have been on here a while that could use a class on that as well.

Apparently it is to Geauxmedic. Sounds like he would have been just as satisfied going 0 & 12 in 2011 since LSU lost the title game. Or the 2005 season, 11-2 ain't shite since we didn't win the conference championship.

Gotta love some of the LSU fans.

Championships don't happen without wins.

We've got a few championships. I'd say, probably attributable to some of those wins.

Gerry took over a worse program and his '96 and '97 teams had more wins than '00 and '02.....or same/less # of losses as 4/5 Saban seasons, if you'd rather look at it that way.
Not to mention the next coach took the Saban roller coaster ride and produced 3 straight 11+ win seasons and backed it up a couple years later with 4 straight 10+ win seasons.

LSU football seems to be a victim of its own success, this millennium.

Do you think this board would be nearly so active, and so animated, if the Tigers had the 59th best winning %age?

Boise State - 0 NCs
Oklahoma - 1 NC
Ohio State - 2 NCs
LSU - 2 NCs

Not to shabby if you look at it big picture.

Actually that would just be opinion.

Fact would be more like "LSU is one of 4 teams to win multiple FBS championships since '99".
How's that for a great stat?

Geaux Tigers, boo that medic.

We would have the 2nd best winning percentage if the 1999 season wasn't included.

LSU went 3-8 in 1999.
