Mett sure does get a lot of credit for a qb that has never taken a meaningful snap in a collegiate game.

Yep. He sure does.

That being said, LSU won't lose a game before November 3rd when Alabama comes to town. They're 20 points better than everyone on their schedule not named Alabama or Arkansas on talent alone.

So Mettenberger will have a lot of time to develop before he is really asked to win us a game, if he ever is.

Spoiled? We did so much this year! This was our year! Is it wrong that after the victories to end the season that we expected the Crystal? We deserved a much better performance from the "#1" team in the country. With that much time to prepare, there was a lack of discipline and much planning on our part. We have a right to complain. I legitimately feel like Les gave up and for a coach in the NC, that's unacceptable. This embarrassment is stuck with us forever.

Alot of LSU fans spent major bucks to go to N.O. to watch a GOOD football game-win or lose. Face it, LSU had a bad game plan, and the coaches never made any adjustments. These guys have every right to vent their frustrations.

^ This and for those who claim that fans aren't "real" fans or that fans are "spoiled" need to understand that we have a right to complain about a pitiful performance in a game of this caliber. You can't just ignore it and pretend it never happened or make excuses in order to stop the inevitable complaints. I'm not a spoiled or fake fan because I point out the deficiencies of our program.

Every Lsu fan who is passionate about their team and spent the kind of money we did should be pissed. If you say in your livIg room and didn't make it out to many games this year you don't have a reason to be pissed but if you live in a place where bama fans are as numerous as roaches and you have to listen to this bullshite all year you should be pissed. If you used vacation days to pay 1,200 for nosebleed seats and $400 a night for a lousy hotel room with a 4 night minimum
You should me pissed. That game was a goddam disgrace and a slap in the face to people who are passionate about Lsu football. I have no problem loosing to a better team but to get humiliated in our own state in front of the entire nation is unacceptable. It clearly showed who is the better team better coaching staff. Our players weren't prepared and played without passion, the same way they were coached!

You guys are over reacting. LSU just went 13-1 and had one hell of a season. There are many teams that would give anything to be in the spot LSU was in. Things will pick up and get better. Look at us for example. Alabama has a pretty recent loss to LA Tech and also a shitty loss to Utah in the Sugar Bowl. These all suck worse than a loss to the Number 2 team in the BCSNC. These coaches are all human. They make mistakes. It's easy for us all to second guess them when we arent all under the same pressure they are under. Hold your heads up, guys. LSU WILL be a factor for next year's BCSNC race and just finished a hell of a season this year.

Good input - thanks.

It is hard to take because of how we played, but I have to admit that Alabama was just flat out better than we were. I'm not sure we could have beaten you regardless of what we did - but I would have like to have given you a better game.

Hat's off to Alabama - you absolutely deserved the win.

It was a very disapointing end to a otherwise great season. Sometimes we don't win. I am not happy about the performance of the team, but just bc you spent a lot of money doesn't guarantee that these young men will have a good game nor does it give you anymore right to take cheap shots at young men who have given a ton to this program. I know and understand that Miles did not do a good job with this game and that the players did not perform at the level we are used to, but sometimes that happens. Sorry. Attacking them or venting because you spent more money than another Tiger fan doesn't make it right or make you a better fan than others.

I can't relate with people like you. I can't watch LSU get completely dominated in every phase of the game with all the build up and anticipation and not be pissed off. Especially after going 13-0 against the schedule from hell and having some time off to prepare, and then come out with that bullshite of a gameplan.

As far as firing Miles, I see and hear a lot of people pissed off at him but have yet to see/hear that one.

What exactly are you embarassed about? That people are mad/upset/disappointed? Maybe you should let me know what you take to be completely emotionless so I can join you in feeling that way. Because trust me, I would much rather not feel what I felt Monday night. Then again, you have Garcia as your avatar so most likely you are into pills and weed.

So no wonder you sat there completely emotionless. If I banged an oxy, I probably would be that way too...

How many forget that this was to be a rebuilding year for us, and it was also discussed that this was one of Bamas greatest teams to take the field. Not too shabby with a very young team.

You just won your second NC in three years. Only other guy to do that was Meyer at Florida. Of course I would have forgotten ULM and Utah by now. Bama will be back next year and win the natty in 2014 I think, unless these recruits don't work out. Anyway we can talk Saban into taking an early retirement?

I am in both camps here-

We had a terrific season with huges wins right from the get-go.

We were ranked #1 since West Virginia.

We had numerous national awards, 2 All Americans and multiple ALL SEC selections.

But we sure stunk to high heaven Monday night. And it hurts.

It really taints the rest of the season, right now.

I'll be honest, I assumed we'd win. I assumed we were gonna take the crystal trophy and I took the journey for granted.

It is so hard to get to the National Championship game. I feel like many of us took it for granted.

Oregon missed a short FG at the end of the USC game or maybe they would have been there.

Ok State missed a FG against Iowa State. I'm sure they wish they could change the outcome of that one play.

Wisconsin lost 2 games right at the end. Win 1 of those games and maybe they're in the title game.

Bama dominated everyone on their schedule but missed those FG against us. Maybe, if they make those kicks, they're in the title game and we're not.

If you need further proof, go back and review the end of the 2007 season. If 2 games don't go our way we don't even get in... let alone win it.

So I think we need to chill.

Les Miles led us to a wonderful season. One of the best in school history.

We finished #2 in the country, including an SEC Championship.

13-1!!!
