Yes, but you have CONTROL over the car. You can get it fixed. You can junk it and get another one. A fan has NO control over the Tigers' efforts on the field. The fan is there to cheer and enjoy. If you want to show your displeasure, write a letter to the AD, and stop buying tickets and stop watching the games. But it is a fact that your negativity harms the program and hurts recruiting, so, your negative comments, that you somehow think helps the situation (it doesn't, in fact ... it may help YOU blow off some steam) actually is counterproductive to the thing you claim to love, LSU football.

Some of you obviously don't follow other fanbases. Ohio St. fans are unhappy with their collective coaching staff, U$C fans booed Corpe last night, and left in droves at halftime during a lackluster showing vs Wazzou.
The internet generation shows the tip of the iceberg. A random collection of thoughts which may or may not be representative of how LSU fans really are.
If you want a true objective idea of the state of LSU football, ask fans of other teams. They are less optimistic about our season than we are.

other fanbases.
No doubt this is true. "Fan" is short for "fanatic," i.e., irrational.

I heard on CBS and ESPN comments that it will be "sizzling and feisty" this week in BR. May not be the exact words, but the message was that we would be griping like scorned bitches and brats.
The coaching staff should face criticism for what they put on the field yesterday. Miles is the CEO of the Tigers football team. If they lay an egg, he gets the blame.
There is nothing wrong with fans getting upset and crticizing things. What's worse is when they just don't give a shite because they know its hopeless....

LSU Fans Becomming National Embarrassment
with a 4-0 team, ranked in the top 5, but with a a fan base that is railing on the program, coaches, and players like we were 0-4. This grumbling is already being picked up by the national media, can effect recruiting, and makes us look stupid to real fans around the country such as with OK, GA, PS,OK, OSU, FSU, ND, Cal, tOSU, and other top programs who wish they were 4-0. We can be a good team if Crowton can put his offense together. The defense is greatly improved. You negatigers affect the morale of the team and shame the program with your vile antics. Georgia has the same talent as do we, have lost one game, and won 2 last second games to inferior teams, but their fans are far more optimistic than you grumblers. Let's see how two even teams play on Saturday.
I'm glad my coaches aren't as dumb as people like you.

If every one of those teams would be 4-0 with LSU's schedule, then why is Southern Cal 3-1 having lost to Washington on the same field that we won?

Please don't bring reason and logic to this discussion!

Southern Cal fans, while less passionate in general about their team are reacting worse than LSU fans are. Except their vitrol isn't aimed at the HC

Same douchebags that were criticizing LSU after losing to Kentucky in the year we won the BCS and destroyed OSU.
You do realize that had it not been for divine intervention (MO and WV both losing) we would have not had the opportunity to play OSU, due to Miles fumbling the National Championship opportunity that was handed to him on a silver platter?
I think you're the doucebag, and a dumb one at that.

being critical doesn't mean we are railing. Miles and the players know that something isn't right. There are many one-loss teams that are playing much better than LSU.

We won't be undefeated and in the top 5 for much longer if we don't make some changes quickly. The cupcake part of our schedule has now ended. It is time to adjust and the fans seem to be more aware of it than the coaches apparently are.

we should be 4-0
really dumb...you missed his point completely as most on this increasingly insignificant board think we should be beating everyone by 50pts!

only because teams ahead of us lost

pure genius...this only goes to prove how damn hard it is to still be undefeated after two conference games and an opening road win against the Pac 10.

bullshite!...do you even read some of the garbage that is posted here. get in touch pal...the dilusional, mind boggling hate that is spewed on this forum has truely served to illuminate the pathetic cowardice of many who call themselves Tiger fans. soon you dimwits will be having 'anti-LSU' teapartys and be wearing Les Miles is a socialist t-shirts...just freakin' pathetic.

yeah...and they are working their butts off to make it better while many in their fan base sit on their dumb drunken asses posting their increasingly one dimensional sewage.

far and away the most stupid thing I've ever read on a board known for penchant of publishing blithering idiots.

The fans don't play the games.

No, but there is a lot of railing going on.
Miles, the players, and the assist. coaches are all being critical themselves, but some fans are calling for heads and proclaiming our team an embarrasment. That is "railing."
I can name 10 top tier teams that would rather be us this morning.

I live in Georgia, and you are incorrect. UGA fans whine about their team too. In fact they have more of a reason since they've had the talent for years, and don't seem to have anything but a SEC championship to show for it. Just because you get a D in a class you say "f*ck it, i passed, so who gives a crap about improving for that tougher class i've got next semester." FAIL!

Acting like the sky is falling....No.
we were the #1 team in the country, we had no business losing to UK. When you lose you take your destiny concerning the NC out of your hands. Now we only dropped to #5 and were behind teams like BC and USF, so it was clear we could move back up. So some fans may have over reacted. But you are sadly mistaken if you think this is unique to LSU fans.
After losing to OU for the 5th strait time in 04, lots of Texas fans were ready to help Mack Brown pack. After struggling in the 1st half of their next game against Mizzo, the Texas coaches modified the offense and took the cuffs off VY and didn't lose again until 2006. Florida fans were bent out of shape after losing to Auburn in 07 and OM last year. It happens.

O-M-G !!!
Anyone who believes this has no idea what they are talking about. WE SHOULD BE 4-0 because the four teams are not good. Anyone who has a clue can see the writting on the wall for the rest of the season (8-4 or 7-5).

Yep, tis exactly what I am trying to tell these people. Its not unique to this fanbase.
Some of the pollyanna-ish faith is however. Where being a realist is called a nega=tiger. If you know anything about football, you can see this LSU team is in trouble, and little has been done to rectify the problems.

Let's also include the don't show up in the rain, leave at 1/2 time element of our lazy and degenerating fan base who leave the game to come on this board and complain about Mile's offense and are too stupid to realize that Crowton has near total control over the offense. Les does needs to get more involved and challenge Crowton to make it happen.
