It's simple, since the 2 Crystal balls, it's become the "cool" thing so you get people that want to go so they can say they did. They don't give a rats arse about staying. Not to mention don't even attempt to wear colors or cheer. It's this segment that make us look bad every time.

LSU fans not only leave the football games early but leave baseball, basketball and solfball games early, I have seen people leave a tied game in all three sports, basketball with 2 min to go, baseball in the top of the ninth, and solfball in the top of the 5th, in football thge excuse is to beat the traffic, I think that they could really beat the traffic if they stayed at home!!!!!

Focus on your fry cook promotion so you can save an extra 50 cents a week towards those season tickets.
Hopefully when I get that promotion and I donate it then TAF will mail me a letter stating that I can now voice concerns about the state of the program. I also hope they send me a big sticker so I can put it on the back of my truck. That way people will know I'm a person that should be listened to.
I just want to be like you JS. That's all any poor person wants.

To their credit, the ones that remained were as loud as the entire stadium was in the beginning. So its mostly cutting off the dead weight if you ask me.
I can't talk right now. I think when the dead weight is gone that the ones left behind have enough passion to make up for it.

Work hard at it. It's a rewarding life.

They show up to be seen...not to cheer for LSU.See when you have to give lots of money in order to have the right to get a ticket...things go down hill. They are there because its exclusive not that its inclusive.Taf just asks for money and if you give it they will give you the rights to buy tickets.I mean tell me where they ask if you are a fan.
Some of the real LSU fans who are hard working cant afford to ticket to the game..They would stay the whole game and then some, winning or losing.
Thats how I see it.
I DO see a parallel here.
I liken these fat-cat bandwagon fans who unfortunately now take up most of the prime seats--to these candy arse doctors and lawyers around central Louisiana (and elsewhere) who all had Harleys when it was a fad.
They dressed up in their do-rags, leather boots and black t-shirts and had a good time pretending they were "bad asses."
Real bikers just laughed.
Now, they put on their purple and gold and enjoy playing at being football fanatics.
But of course, if the wind-chill is below 72 degrees they can't take it and go home.
Back when most anyone could get (and afford) a ticket, these same people considered and LSU football game a "low-class" thing to do.
Give me the days when Tiger Stadium was a bunch of drunk coonasses and rednecks with an attitude--a place that opposing teams feared.
I know there's probably no way around it, but I hate the fact that all the prime seating in TS is taken up by corporate seating and populated by these fat cat pollyannas.
Once again--other places like Texas and Florida no doubt have a lot of corporate seating. Why don't they empty out like pussies? The Swamp stayed full while UF was hammering College of Charleston.
TAF has raised a lot of money.
They've also made Tiger Stadium a shadow of its former, feared self.

It's because of these people that you have a job, timlan. Don't bite the hand that feeds you.

Yeah I was in Section 416 and a lot of people left early. However, the ones who stayed were the ones who were making noise and the ones who left early were sitting on their hands anyway...

Tiger Stadium's mystique is the biggest croc of shite in sports.

Some parts of Tiger stadium are as bad as a tractor pull.

It's such a shame that so many people leave the games early now. Tiger Stadium has a great history of being THE toughest place to play in college football. Bear Bryant once said that playing in Tiger Stadium was "like playing inside of a drum". Last night was a better showing than it has been this season, but I wish that people would stay until the end again. Why are you buying tickets if your are going to leave a perfectly good 4 point game towards the end of the third quarter? Those kids in purple and gold deserve full house cheering their heads off for 60+ minutes of football. They work extremely hard for us. I know the coaching sucks, but those kids leave their heart and soul on that field. Stay for the WHOLE GAME, and
