Carlton,

This is what happens when you get offended too quickly.

If you read what I said....which you didn't. You would see that I am saying that it's complete bullshite that fans cannot wear their colors.

But in this case, I said it didn't matter what he was wearing, it's just a place where there are many chips on the natves shoulders.

What are you reading?

Again, just another guy that cashes in 'getting offended' for emotional currency. You totally whiffed on the point.

Lemme guess, you are going to reply with something else that doesn't make sense?

dstone, nowhere in your post would anybody draw that conclusion. Here, I will break down your post line by line to show you that you couldn't form a coherent thought to save your life:

"Hey dipshit, what I am trying to say that this is America.....not The Lebanon."

This is America and not The Lebanon.. ok... whatever the frick that means.

"Whether you are an LSU fan in a parking lot at WVU (which I warned all about) or the street, don't do anything to cause attention to yourself."

Ok... so you are saying don't do anything that would bring attention to the fact that you are a visiting fan.. like wearing an LSU shirt. Please continue...

"If they guy was not wearing any LSU gear, then I equate that as to say, it wouldn't matter what he was wearing, but it was just a place full of hoods."

Ok, so you are saying here that if he wasn't wearing an LSU shirt, and therefore not "drawing attention to himself", and he still got beat up, then you would say it was just a people looking for a random fight.

So, now then, where in that entire paragraph did you ever say that it is a shame that people aren't able to wear visiting gear without getting beat up?

All I saw was you warning visiting fans not to come to Morgantown wearing your team colors or you will get beat up.

I think your ability to think in your head and transfer those thoughts accurately to another medium is lacking.

For using common sense? You have just as little information as I do, and I'm the idiot for using restraint? Ok... great.

I also fell sorry for the WV fans. They have got to be pissed about three degenerates tarnishing the entire university.
I hear you, but you won't be as sympathetic after reading what they are actually saying . . . Link to Ugliness.

The media reports say the police are "investigating a report of an assault" which means that at the time the assault took place there were no officers present to witness it.
They'd usually be there to witness it?

Here's the way this goes down. Guy gets assaulted. 911 call for ambulance triggers Police notification. If hospital is in view, victim often self-transports. In that case ED officials contact police. W/u and stabilization for head trauma with suborbital fractures ensuring safe transit to Pittsburg is a multihour process. The MTPD would have had PLENTY of time to conduct personal interviews. Not good.

Judging by the lack of coverage

Apparently words were exchanged after the rock throwing. I guessed right. That makes sense. Hope they find the perps.

It depends on the circumstances, but if they threw a rock at my truck:

1.)(I'm alone) I get out and confront them
2.)(Have preggers w/ me) I turn the wheel slightly and press the gas pedal.

No they'd usually be there to conduct the vital on site interviews. The immediate moments after an assault are vital, the most important statements you can get is that of the people who were just walking by. Again I'm just going from the limited information we have, but judging from the wording the police didn't seem have been there for that important aspect of the investigation.

I've personally served as a witness to the MTPD in an assault case, they do a very good job IMO of doing due diligence. It took the BRPD a few weeks to investigate one of the most high profiled assaults in the country at the time, I don't think MTPD making sure they're not botching anything by taking their time on something that is a potential powder keg is a bad thing. Would you prefer a botched case in which rash decisions were made due to the whims of a crowd? Or actually for someone to do the police work to figure out what happened.
