That's the only thing that would make sense to me. Why would you wear LSU clothing to a ULL game where ULL is NOT playing LSU?

I used to wear an LSU hat to my high school games. I dont see the difference here

Almost all my baseball hats are LSU. If I'm going to do pretty much anything outside im going to wear a baseball hat. At that point there is a 90% chance it's an LSU cap.

well that's not decked out head to toe in LSU gear. For instance, I went to the Ole Miss Tennessee game back in 2004 in Oxford. Saw an LSU fan there wearing an LSU jersey. Exactly what is the point in that? A hat is one thing. Many people have a hat they wear every day. But there's no need to be over the top about it like an a-hole

All you need to know is the amount of applause. Setup or not more people at that stadium are concerned over a team they play once a season than the conference game they are losing on the field. Pretty sure you wear a Cajuns/tech/slu/Nichols shirt at Alex Box all season and never hear a word.

If a fanbase is too insecure by a visitor representing their teams gear, then they are the problem. You pay your ticket, you pay for travel, damn right you should represent.

they really are pissy(insecure) about that, went to a USL tailgate a few years back, hosted by a friend that played fb there, wearing an LSU jacket(we were playing later,) thought I was going to have to fight my way out, the only more obnoxious fans I've been around were UF fans back when they were good

Perhaps he just wanted a free T-Shirt and hat. Someone gave me an Alabama T-Shirt three years ago and it is yet unworn in my closet. I would actually wear an LSU, South Alabama, USM, University of Mobile (or Mobile College when I attended there) somewhere to see if there were any others who might be graduates of the school. I attended Alabama for a semester and left the Mass Communications & Film because they couldn't communicate, but won't wear the T-Shirt.
