Even an incremental increase in the budget will probably not move the needle that much.
All things being equal for the money offered, players will still seek a better coach to play for.

Told everyone this yesterday that the word was MM was coming back and that NIL will be much more prevalent. I think this was the best move possible. If we can keep what we have, and then add a couple of elite guards (especially a PG) we could be really good.

No melt at all. Just pointing out the complete irrationality of this purported plan…with actual arguments/logic.
I know that paragraphs and more than 12 words exceed your capacity for understanding, so you really weren’t the target audience. Therefore I guess I could understand why you thought it was a “melt”.

Woody is praying Wade takes a job this off season. It will be much easier to hire a coach if Wade isn’t in play

What objective results points to this being accurate.

because our guards are the worst, or near the worst, in the league. We need major upgrade there. Guard play is critical in the NCAA Trny.....and a true elite PG would make a huge difference. We have pieces already here, but with the NIL money I'm hearing, we can probably pick up 2 elite players (at least 1 guard) and some supporting cast to go along.
You gonna really melt when we win our game tomorrow night too.

What a sad state of affairs, the coaches salary/job security tracks the NIL bank value!!!!!!!!!

LOL. If you knew my education level, you would be embarrassed.
Yes, I've called you out for writing books on here when a simple sentence or two would suffice. I don't even read long worded paragraphs at work. Get to the point, no one has time for all that.
I get it, you are passionate about basketball. As am I. I actually heard this about the NIL and posted about it yesterday. It will make a big difference. You can bitch and complain all you want, but with the way the league is now, we aren't competing against the SEC with our current guards. We just aren't. You put WAY too much blame on the coach, instead of lack of talent. I believe we will have the talent now, and you will se a marked change next season. Smart move by LSU...spend some money on NIL to bring in talent....instead of complete overhaul and still needing NIL.

The lid on the seedy world has just been opened.
That said, you can give 10 different coaches the same amount to distribute and build a roster. Not all equal out. I have zero trust CoachMc wouldn't end up outside of the bottom of the SEC if everything was equal.
