I think President Tate has done a terrific job.

Good move. Tate recently spoke at an event I attended and one of his main goals is to have LSU classified as a NCI designated cancer center.
They're working with Kentucky (recently acquired NCI designation) and a group of consultants to help with the application/approval process.
ETA - his 4 other main goals:
1. Agriculture - invest in tech, engineering, etc. He's visiting SEC schools (UGA, A&M, Kentucky, UF) to see what they do best. Mentioned that it's embarrassing for LA farmers to use tech from A&M.
2. Cybersecurity - highlighted LSU's military tradition and believes LSU can easily overtake UTSA as home of the top cybersecurity program in the nation with proper investment.
3. Coastal Science
4. Energy & alternative forms of energy

Specific examples that are differentiated from most other universities LSU’s size please. Let’s see links not some TigerRant fodder repeat rinse.
I guarandamntee you that I am equally or more conservative as you however at this moment in time things like this announcement will have direct positive effects on my child’s medical career development. For that reason I'll take it.

As I walked by the electrical and computer engineering building last night that looked like one of the bombed out buildings in the middle east, I thought why didn't LSU invest in this emerging field in the 80's. It needs to happen now so tie it in to cyber security and Boot the F up.

I absolutely love how stupid Tate is making our dumb rednecks look, all over some fricking papers from the 90s lmao

Yep. Tate's done a great job since taking over.

But olol doesn't have the funds to increase RN, RT, and technician pay. Fucing joke
We have a good friend who is a long-term OLOL RN who says that due to nurse shortages, they are hiring contractors at double her pay. Due to an unfortunate family illness, she can’t look around due to insurance needs.

Will this be able to cover all the donations lost from TD posters that said they wouldn't be giving any more money after Tate was hired?

They should be able to run off of the interest! It doesn't take Catholic High Math to figure out that 30,000 students at a minimum of $3,000.00 a semester is $90,000,000.00 coming in a semester plus donations!!!! Where does it go? Other than Coach O!
A few things: 1. That's not really how foundations work. 2. If it was, the interest would not come close to running the university. 3. LSU's annual budget is WAY more than $180,000,000/year 4. Where does it go? They have thousands of employees, a massive physical plant, and debt payments, to name a few expenses. 5. TAF paid Coach O.
