Here is a preview of the LSU Depth Chart for 2024.
• Contains all scholarship players as well as current HS commits
• Commit H/W and ratings come from On3.
• Does not predict any outgoing transfers
• Total of 91 scholarship players.

It presumes that the following players declare for the NFL Draft:
• WR Malik Nabers
• WR Brian Thomas
• DT Mekhi Wingo

Almost a pointless discussion because of the transfer portal, but this did remind me that we have Harold Perkins for another year which brightened my day.

Maason Smith is in his second year. Unless he transfers, he isn't leaving.

Didn't adjust their year classification?

this is his third year unfortunately. if he plays like he did at Mizzou the rest of this year, he's probably gone

1) he’d be dumb not to. He is a guy that could SIGNIFICANTLY raise his stock if he gets in shape and shows he’s fully healthy.

2) Dellinger is a guy that I think is a risk to leave that no one is talking about. He’s been extremely good all year and I’m not sure how much he could raise his stock with another year. I hope he sees that we can compete for a natty next year and comes back but he’s the biggest flight risk imo.

I think you have a real chance to lose Logan Diggs also.

If Frazier comes back that would be awesome to return our entire starting line for a 2nd year in a row but do you think we could lose Lance Heard?

Yes his Mizzou performance was much better than his previous games but by much better it just meant that he made a play or 2 as opposed to just taking up space like he did the first few games.

He still didn’t really win many one on ones. His sack was a stunt where he came through unblocked and his other big play was batting down a ball because he could t get off the line.

I’m not trying to say that these plays weren’t good or that seeing improvement from him wasn’t a positive development but he’s still a far cry from his ceiling and being a 1st rounder like he definitely could be.

I think he leaves.

Sure, he hasn't done shite this year and could probably raise his stock if he came back. But he'll be projected high enough and as long as he has a good combine, he can make up for a lackluster year.

Hope he does come back though.

Obviously anything is possible but he knew the depth chart when he signed. He’s also a guy that is getting PT as freshman and I don’t think they’d keep him off the field if he truly is one of the best 5.

What makes you think he’d have a good combine? He looks slow and lacks explosiveness which I think is a result of not being fully recovered and in shape.

Another year could make him millions more up front in the draft but you are right, some guys just plan to be in college 3 years and leave no matter what. I just don’t see him being more than a 4th round pick at the most at this point. And I honestly think he’s more like a 6-udfa candidate in reality because he’s been that bad.

We'll need a minimum of 2 impact DT's through the portal - possibly 3 if Smith declares. Hope I'm wrong, but I don't see Langston or Lee playing meaningful snaps. Tygee Hill needs to step up next year.

Well, throwing this accusation out isn't really fair, but he very well could be playing "just hard enough" to make sure he's not injured. And then give 100% at the combine.

We've seen guys skyrocket their stock just from the offseason workouts. He doesn't have to have a good season for NFL scouts to buy in.

I think Kyren Lacy could play another season.

It might be too late to do this in his college career but I think he’d make a great FS.

He’s really explosive, gets physical when he blocks, and has great size, he just can’t catch consistently.
