What I want to know is this....
Is Chavis moving the guys light in the arse to LB because that puts our best talent on the field? If that's the case, would the Lb class of 2012 really mean we will have normal sized backers in 2-3 years? Or would chavis play smaller faster guys over bigger slower guys that had equal talent? If that is the case, and I'm thinking it may be, WTF does that mean will happen to the true lbers we have coming in? Would they have to slim down to play?

wow that SLB depth chart could not look any weaker
I agree. I saw what Francois can do at the position last season, and it's not much. Unless he has made a hugh leap since last season, I don't get it. Then Tahj Jones, way undersized, and Josh Johns? WTF. What about putting Lamin Barrow at SLB or even Welter? Isn't Sam LB supposed to be the strong side LB?

Not sure if anyone pointed it out the last few pages but it does say
-OR- Kevin Minter
That means no starter has been announced there yet. Minter will win out barring some type of injury. Hatcher should start in front of Francois. Hatcher/Minter/Baker would be our 3 best LBs IMO, not Francois/Hatcher/Baker

Can we please recruit a MLB that weighs more than 225lbs?

Minter is about 235-240ish, and at only 6'1, not 6'3 like Sheppard

Does anyone else notice Barrow? Seems like he lost PT for personal fouls... But Mingo must have had 5 PF facemasks...
I'd love to see Baker/Minter/Barrow but I figure the experience Hatcher has will win out and he will get the will.

This is the result of our horrible linebacker recruiting! Several posters on this board have noticed the lack of 4-5 star high school linebackers in each class over the past several years. We need to fix this huge hole in our recruiting fast!

Put the pipe down. The state is loaded with elite lbers this year. We will be fine.

If Hatcher ends up starting his first year at MLB, I'd be worried about a weakness at that position. It is already the biggest concern on the team right now and I really would be worried. This means Minter still hasn't progressed so what does our team look like after next year?

This was pulled from the 2011 media guide.

Eric Alexander and Harry Coleman both did it successfully. Also I think the LB problem is a bit overstated. We have major talent at DB and a 5th DB will be on the field quite often.

Davenport as a back up LT surprises me. Wonder what La'el will have to say there. No mention of Evan Washington, either.
Or Jordan Allen (as DE). And there has been talk of Justin Maclin returning to LB.
Guess it's all to mess with the Ducks. Who knows where T.raw will turn up.

A 210 MLB is just asking for trouble.
