LSU Depth Chart - Day 1 [1 image]

This is the Day 1 Depth Chart as best as I could discern.
• Like you, I watched low-quality videos of the practice and listened to various reports of the two-deep.
• It appears that the 2nd String would be out there on the field, and guys would rotate in. This makes determining the actual 2nd Sting very difficult, because you don't know who is the 2nd guy and who is the 3rd.
• Also, it's difficult to know whether a CB is the field or boundary guy because once they go to their spots on 1st down, they often remain on that side even when the field flips.
• DTs appear to play on either the Left or Right, instead of lining up according to field and boundary. I could not discern their gaps, though I assume that they either play in a 3-technique to the field side, or they play towards the line strength (wherever the TE lines up).
• Heights and Weights were updated in my previous Depth Chart.
• Numbers and a few more Walk-Ons (see QB for example) have been updated in the present Depth Chart.
• This is not an official Depth Chart.
Happy Guessing!

Nice work! What are the numbers in the parentheses?
Posted on 8/2/24 at 8:26 am to brewhan davey
I would guess that's snaps played in '23.

Perkins and Penn basically never left the field.

Only think I could remotely guess based on elevated numbers for certain players would be snaps played last year maybe

Those are some high numbers for the OL starters
Like that.
Like that.

Every offensive lineman is above 300lbs
Has that ever happened?

I don’t know why, but I always thought Shone Washington was 300 lbs plus.

not a lot of surprises here. would really like to see Pimpton emerge a TE2 tho.

Is #25 reserved for players in trouble with the law

Went and checked USC roster. Their line is also all over 300 lbs. Was thinking that they would be smaller as they weren't all that good last year.

Center Aaron McDaniel is from my hometown, grew up with his dad, glad to see he accomplished his dream of making the team.

Thanks for all of the work.

I'm also guessing those snaps are only regular season. The offense had 70 plays in the bowl game and I know he was on the field for more than 11 plays during the season.

Great looking depth chart.

From my observation, TE2 is primarily the blocking TE. So hypothetically if Taylor would be sidelined for anything, I think we see Pimpton or Green fill his role as the primary pass catcher at the position while Markway stays as more of in-line run blocker.
