Looks like Slaughter could be the guy to protect Deichmann come SEC play. If he ever struggles, Watson might be good in that spot too

He looked safe on tv too. The ump let the middle infielder make the call apparently.

It looked like he was blocked by the baserunner, which to me seems like he put himself in a bad position to see the play.
