Out of curiosity where does our SOS rank in the SEC

Other good teams are missing innings as well. Probably not as many, but the difference isn’t 27 innings.
I think a lot of the differences could be quality of competition. We’ve played a weak schedule, but I bet some SEC teams have played much weaker ones.
LSU has thrown the second fewest innings in the SEC so far at 130.0. Only Mizzou has less at 124.0 innings pitched. UF has the second most at 151.0 and Vandy has the most at 157.0.
All stats according to SEC Baseball linked in the above post.

SOS balances out. Early on northern teams traveling and small teams get SOS boosts.
I’m sure a team like Samford has a better SOS right now because they’ve played a ranked Alabama and #1 LSU three times.
Roundrock didn’t do much favors with an unranked field. Last year they had Arkansas and Stanford.

Now lets cook at non-conference
NCSOS:
Vandy - 37
Ole Miss - 56
Arky - 50
Miss State - 66
USCe - 89
UF - 100
A&M - 74
UK - 110
Auburn - 112
Mizzou - 122
LSU - 117
UGA - 137
Tenn - 140
Bama - 158
Basically middle of the pack. Theres no need for us to have some ridiculous OOC schedule.

So, I'm getting the distinct impression that this Dylan Crews guy is reasonably good at baseball.

I am interested to see where he finishes the season in batting average for the conference. Could easily lead the SEC in batting average this year.
