Good work man, could you possibly add a category for saves? Cotton has to be up there with his 8.

zunino won the golden spikes last year with a .322 avg, 19 HR, and 67 RBI's (including postseason at bats). Katz currently at .419, 13 HR, 49 RBI's at halfway point of regular season.
He was a very good defensive catcher too though.
But its crazy to think Katz is on pace (big caveat) to destroy those numbers.
eta: zunino's OBP was .394, Katz currently at .504. Zunino slugged .669, Katz at .886.
Katz will certainly come back to the field one would think but his offensive numbers in the first half are just ridiculous.

The "big 4" are exactly halfway to 40 HR's at the halfway point of the season.

Are the 3 sec pitching staffs that LSU has faces so far just really bad? Everyone expected Katz's numbers to go down once we "started sec play". If anything they have gone up !

No, State's and Missouri's are above average. He's just locked in like no other player i have ever seen with these bats.

Just for fun, I will show you what Katz is on pace to finish the season with, if we can make it to Omaha we will play around 40 more games, at least. So here is a sample of what he could finish with if he stays on pace and we play 40 more games.
Mason Katz would finish with...
.419 BA, 31 HR, 119 RBIs

Those would be sick numbers in the age of the new bats. Eddy Furniss type of numbers.
