Defense is important behind the plate. Kade saved us some games this year. Pap should have the arm to keep teams in check when it comes to stealing. Hopefully he can block balls as good as kade. Don't forget Ross horrible hitter but was great behind the plate. We had a great regular season with Ross behind the plate.

Idk about the other guy but Pap should win the Job.

really doubt we have any .300 hitters next year, so pitching better be outstanding enough to keep the opposition under 3 runs.

I've heard he won't be back next year.

So that means Kim Mulkey will never be our women's basketball coach...cuts all the ties...that totally p..... me off.

players get better

Andrew Stevenson hit .193 as a Freshman.

He's hit like .350 since

Chinea hit .250 last year. Hit .344 this year and led the team in HR and RBI

Scivique got off the bus from JUCO and hit .307

We recruit too talented to players for them not to get better. We have some premier bats that will get a chance next year.

because Javi fricked up his natural swing trying to change it because he claimed Andrew wouldn't catch up to SEC pitching with it. After Andrew hit so well in summer camp following his freshman year they allowed him to swing with what he felt comfortable with. He could have hit .350 his freshman year had they not fricked with his swing.

LOL. Not many freshmen that start every day in the SEC hit .350.

Fraley, Zardon, Byrd, Deichman, Pap are all really good candidates to hit over .300.

LSU may hit .260-.270 which this year would rank them around 6-10 in the SEC. What people don't realize is LSU was the only team to hit over .300 as a team this season, the next highest was A&M at .299

and that wouldn't be bad if we got hits with RISP most teams in the CWS hit close to that, but they win because they can move runners.

Its difficult for a Freshman to come off the bench and hit .350 getting a single at bat in the 7th, or the odd Tuesday start. Of course I'm sure you know that, and just neglected to incorporate logic into your statement.

The curve from HS travel ball to college is a steep one. Lets see how our bats look this summer.
