Regardless of who the new baseball coach is, can we agree to bring the box back to the glory days? No more of this nice guy bull shite and giving opposing teams victory laps like under Paul. Teams should HATE to play at the Box just like they hate to play in Death Valley. We need this arrogant a-hole fanbase to come back to life and be the villain again and stop being soft. You know the program has reached its softest point ever when Paul was crying about the Tennessee fans being “mean” and “not classy”. Maybe I’m drunk but I’m sick of it.

Winning has a lot to do with it, but even with the winning years under Paul there was still some games that did not have that magical Box energy of old. I just think we need new life and new energy into the program and everything else will fall into place

I know Ronnie Rantz is a dumbass, but he does actually have inside info about the baseball team. On the radio this morning, he was talking about how LSU baseball is soft and pampered like pro athletes. When they travel, they have porters carry the players' luggage. They don't carry their own bags. I want the next guy to bring a gritty culture to the team. The "we are blue bloods" attitude doesn't work for me. Time to harden up.

Some LSU fans may hate it, but we need to make the Box a ruthless environment for opposing teams just like Tennessee did to us this season.

Soft? Pampered? You are right, sometimes Rantz is a dummy. Especially when he tries to sound like Skip Bertman. Intensity, on the field, during the game, and focused practice are the main things a coach should care about. They didn’t show either Friday night but was better yesterday. Now improvement and they can get to a super. They have the talent.

The new box is not the old box. New yankee stadium is not old Yankees stadium.
Both stadiums were sanitized and corporatized and lost who they were.

Obviously the new Box doesn’t have the same feel but the fans play a massive part in it.

Apparently you weren't around for the glory days because LSU baseball fans were never mean and nasty. Arrogant? If by that you mean we just expect our team to win, then yes we were and we absolutely need that back. We WERE loud, though. We would heckle the shite out of the outfielders and the opposing bullpen, but it was nothing mean, there's no place for that in baseball. Mostly, LSU fans would SHOW UP. The fans have definitely been a lot more soft, really since the new Box opened. The old Box had more soul and less space between the players and the fans, and it was less corporate. It was electric, and it will take a dedicated effort by the fans to ever reach that level again. I will certainly do my part!

The problem with the new box is the game day atmosphere compared to the old box. The big tailgates close to the stadium is one thing, they moved everything away from the stadium, its kind of crappy now. We had some huge tailgates at the old box. Always fed the teams opposing fans anyone. You just don't see that anymore. Hopefully whoever takes over can jumpstart the atmosphere. But ultimately winning cures all.

What is wrong with so-called LSU fans constantly putting
down former tigers.T-Bob Ronnie Rantz etc. They have made
it in the sports media business and what have you people
done except hating on former tigers, its pathetic.RR is far
from dumb.Back in the day he started his own TV network
Jumbo sports ,could you have done that. All we have on
alot uf these sites is wannabe`s who make themselves feel
better by putting others down. Morons
