Seriously man. This is a platforn for LSU fans to use as a way of talking sports.

When someone claims to know anything around here, it's a good chance it isn't true unless the said person has already proven themselves as a trustworthy source.

Otherwise, it needs to be backed up with something to prove the truth.

Tyler Moore isn't going pro. That's my opinion based on many factors I considered. I also want to mention that he is projecting to be drafted after the 15th round. Mainly, because inconsistency but also because he doesn't own a true position. Ask Blake Dean about that.

CPM already told us that Tyler Moore is not a consistent hitter.

Moore is about ten times better at first than Blake... who was taken in the 9th round after his senior year, fwiw.

Dean's fielding % his senior year was .998 vs Moore's % this year of .987. Dean batted .341 his senior year. Moore .301 this year.

"Ten times better"???

I know Dean is a better hitter. Who doesn't?

Tyler had 5 errors 382 chances split between Catcher and First. Dean had 1 error in 534, all at first.

Do you know how many of those errors were at catcher?

Dean's shoulder surgery didn't go as well as planned. His arm never got to 100%.

Who is more athletic and can get to more balls?

Being ignorant of well-known expressions and arguing semantics is your go-to when you have nothing else. Everyone knows this. Thanks for proving my point.

on this Dean vs Moore conversation. His average could have been a few points lower because of the bbcore bats.

but Dean > Moore

Where am I arguing semantics with you? You've been proven wrong in your claim about Moore being better than Dean, much less 'ten times better,' using facts and statistics.

Stop whining.

I didn't say you were. But it's one of your "things"

We're talking only about fielding. I would never put Moore above Dean as better players.

using facts and statistics.
You provided one statistic. 1 error vs 5 with most of Moore's being at catcher. Moore has better range and a better arm. Those are facts.

judgements not facts. Only if you show side to side stats, like a 40 time, or some type of cone drill will it make it facts.

but I agree with you it appears Moore is a better defender but I would love to see something to back it up.

And one of your "things" is trolling the board. I never know when you're being serious and when you're just trolling.

Your 'ten times better' comment was an obvious troll attempt until you actually started arguing like you meant it.

Moore made 2 errors while playing first base this season.

One was in the first Vandy game in Nashville and one in the home Tulane game. So, he made twice as many errors in less than half as many games at first base as Dean made in his senior year.

So was Moore "ten times better" than Dean defensively?

ETA: Here is what you posted about Moore earlier this season:

moore threw someone out !!!

I missed it. Must not have happened.

They ran all over Moore.

put Laird, Bregs, Ibarra, Foster, Moore and McMullen at just 95% of last years numbers, and you have a very good offense. It's the huge drop off of the returners almost across the board that's killing us.

I'd rather the platooning be between KRob and Moore.

Hitting.

This was a complement. If there was going to be players going in and out, I wanted Moore to be one of them. And I even implied that I wanted it at first base.

You are confused. We are talking about his Defense at First Base.
