I heard another reason Manieri keeps him around is recruiting. Y'all can lemme know if I'm wrong but apparently he does a great job in that area.

Once a recruit taste some of javi's famous potato salad it's a lock.

"The SEC tournament is also fun because you get to see (sometimes) just as good as baseball being played as there is in the CWS. Also, you get to see players from other teams that you've seen play all season (or all their careers) that you know almost as good as you know your own players. Just some quality college baseball at it's finest here in the SEC."

It really is a great week of baseball. Much better when LSU is there but regardless it is a good time if you like college baseball. We've been going on and off for over 10 years and it's a trip we always look forward to.

Also I'm ready to pump the frick out of some sunshine when we inevitably lose 2 out of 3 to Washington or Maryland or get swept by brown.

Thanks for hopping on the bandwagon.

FWIW per Kendall Rogers, Maryland will be a top 25, not that it means a whole lot, but they do have some talent.

Well, it only took until page 7 for someone to mention my favorite college baseball analyst.

I like him, but he really isn't my favorite. He never gave LSU any credit last year until we took 2 of 3 from USCe. He really pissed me off last season.

Disagree. Some years we suck.

No. We're talking about expectations and at LSU they are extremely high every year and justifiably so.

I agree with this ! Maineri and the crew need to get "er done this year. I'm talking Omaha. We are to baseball what Kentucky is to basketball. Otherwise, we need to analyze and rethink every piece of this program.

I will openly admit that I bitch him out regularly each week on twitter when he sends out his postseason projections. But it honestly is fun because without him, I wouldn't be able to talk about it as much. It's fun just being able to follow someone who cares about college baseball as we do.

sounds like I'm not the only one. I think he blocked me last season lol. I made some jokes about Omaha and Ole Miss. I don't think he liked it too much haha.

While I'm a believer of most everything in this statement, college baseball has changed a lot since the 90s. Basketball hasn't changed one bit since the 90s. If we lose in Supers @ home again, sure a change or two may need to be made, but that tells me we had a successful year in the regular season and SEC.

Hopefully I'll be making hotel reservations for Omaha in June.

I was one of the very few defending the team after starting slow and losing the series to App state last year.

Sorry, I'm used to the typical negatiger comments. Hopefully we don't lose a boneheaded series again this season pre-SEC.

I'll let you slide since HCB vouches for you.
