Jared Foster and Tyler Moore came over to the table where my wife and I were sitting and asked if they could join us. It was the first time I've ever spoken to either of them. They are both extremely polite and articulate young men.
When I praised Tyler Moore for his pressure-packed, two-out double in last year's SEC tourney game against Alabama that kept the game going for us (and kept us in the tourney because that was an elimination game) he quickly reminded me that it was Foster who scored from first base on that play. Foster then spoke up and said when he was on first base with Moore coming up to bat, Blake Dean, who was coaching first base, told him if Moore hit a gapper, "don't look around, don't slow down, you've got to score." And he did.
I also congratulated Foster on that unbelievable throw from right field he made in the SEC tourney to cut down the runner at the plate. I jokingly said to him his quarterback arm was evident on that throw. He blushed but seemed pleased that someone remembered his play.
They both represent LSU very well.
