Have you gone to your profile page to see if an admin put a message for you inside the sig pic link box?

A couple of years ago I had an avatar pic that was too large and it was removed and there was a message telling me it was too large in the avatar link box.

The rule in the book is written, but I still believe that the defensive player did everything he could to not get flagged. He purposely did not lower his head, and chest-butted Brees, his right arm did not fully close on contact, he was mot trying to close line Brees, it's just that the defender was running full speed and the force knocked Brees completely off of his feet. Regardless of what the rule says, explain how the defender could have done anything different? If he hits with both arms in front, he doesn't wrap up and "targeting" is called. If he leads with the head, or hits Brees too high or low, he is flagged.

Basically, the defensive player should have simply not touched the quarterback.

He could have not put Brees in a choke hold as he threw him to the ground.

The chokehold happened because the defender was not driving Brees to the ground, because that would be a penalty. Look at your photos, the defender is almost trying to hold Brees up. I am 100% certain that he tried to do the right thing, but the rules just don't allow the defense much of a chance to hit the qb. I'm not arguing whether the flag should have been thrown based off of the rules, I am arguin that the defense has no chance.

Seriously, 10 years ago the defender would have hit Brees, drove him to the ground, and landed on top of him, Jim Burt/Joe Montana style.
