Hurricane’s on Baymeadows is a meetup spot for the “First Coast Tigers.” That would be your best bet. There are tons of LSU fans in the area, I will be at the Saints game as well.

A second the Hurricanes recommendation.

If not there... plenty of the sports bars on Jax Beach would be a good option.

I live here, the only one I've been to is the First Coast LSU group and it was at hurricanes but not baymeadows. Was on Hendricks in San Marco.

It's ok. I think it's more fun to go to the Jax Beach bars and be in the middle of crying Gator fans

Yes. This is where to go for sure. It’s a great gathering for the big games. I would say I’ll see you there but my son and I will actually be at the game in BR.

Scoobie, do you live here and attend viewings with the group?

True story...I was working in Jacksonville with some other guys from Louisiana. We found out they had a Chimes there. Walked in to watch LSU/Auburn in 2008 and was greeted by 75-100 LSU Alumni. THAT was awesome! I guess that place isn't there anymore? I do recall it was around the Baymeadows area, though, so it may now be the place you mentioned. I do know for a fact, though, that there's a big LSU presence in Jax.

It was there for about four years but moved back to the Baymeadows location just this season.

I seriously can’t wrap my head around this. Can’t imagine why a Tiger fan would rather watch that game amongst Gator fans but to each their own.

Go to Jax Beach, find a bar, and deck out in LSU gear. It'd be way more fun than anything Jacksonville has to offer...

That was actually Times Grill. Close enough though. Times, Chimes. And also from Louisiana. But yeah, it closed down after the 2010 season, which is when we first moved across the road to Hurricanes, for the 2011 season.

If you’re an LSU fan looking for other LSU fans to watch with, which WAS the criteria in the OP, then no the frick it would not be better than going to watch with the LSU group at Hurricanes.

I was!! Somewhere in the throng. Times Grill was a great location for us, being Louisiana-centric and all. And yeah man, I travel for work now and look for groups when on the road. Great to find a big gathering like you did that night.

I believe that at some point in the future Walk-Ons has plans for a Jax location. Of course that will be a natural. If the location is right I would think we may move there.

Look up first coast tigers. I think they go to a Hurricane's. Or come out to the beach and watch. Will be a bunch of crying arse Gator fans around though.

Poe's in Atlantic Beach would be my suggestion. You then have a bunch of places in walking distance and none of the Jax Beach trash.

ETA: whatever you decide, get out of the downtown Jax area. Riverside, San Marco, and the Beaches are the best spots.
