Also, LSU-State will probably not be a 2:30 kick, that will most likely go to Georgia—UK.

LSU-State will either be 11am or a weird 5:30pm start time.

Why the hell would CBS pick a Kentucky game?

Aren't they required to show every SEC school at least once in a season or has that rule gone away?

It’s a road game. Why do people want to play at night on the road?

That was never a rule

Nope.

CBS would love to feature the #3 team playing period, and with LSU and Florida playing in similar games against inferior opponents, why wouldn’t you pick UGA here?

Correct, very good!

Im referring to the hype that is surrounding this game BECAUSE of the fact that UF won and is coming in undefeated.

If we only get 1 big night game, i would rather it be against an undefeated UF than a 1 loss UF and playing undefeated AU at 2:30

Even if LSU loses to UF (which they won’t), LSU-Auburn will be televised by CBS.

The only way it's not is if the rumor is true that CBS is trading LSU - UF and LSU - Auburn to ESPN to be able to put LSU - Bama in primetime.

Why? What difference is it to you for a road game?

Because some of us are going to the game, but have morning tee times at Old Waverly.

I guess it is possible, but CBS had the choice to put LSU/Bama at night and they passed. They took UGA/ND, as well as another SEC weekend to to a double-header. Now, you could argue that the LSU/Bama game has lost much of it's luster because it has been so one-sided over the last several years and, since 2015, has generally been a pretty boring game for non-affiliated fans, but it still drew huge rating for CBS each season.

Long story short, I don't see CBS trying to push that to a night game (which would be their 3rd of the season), but I guess you never know.

Truth be told, the Florida/USC game would probably be the most competitive of the 3 options. But, that would mean putting Fla. on the CBS game three weeks in a row. LSU/MSU would give CBS a chance to broadcast a game from a site in which they don't often visit (Starkville). But it would also put LSU on CBS three weeks in a row.

I think CBS is waiting to see if UK and/or MSU win this weekend. If MSU beats Tenn they will be (though not impressively) 4-2. That would be a better record than UK or USC.

In short, if MSU beats Tenn. this weekend, the LSU/MSU will be the 2:30 game IMO

well, outside of LSU and i think the Arizona schools everyone else has always played their games during the day so if you expected every road game to be a night that's on you
