LSU Atlanta’s “Bash Buzz” Pre Bowl Party - Tuesday Dec. 30th at Engine 11
The party starts Tuesday at 8 pm when LSU fans will flock to Engine 11, a historic former firehouse that is now a classy yet casual bar and grill at the corner of Peachtree Street and North Avenue. Come upstairs for great Tiger tailgate music and good times with your fellow fans. Get your party attitude on right as our special guests the “famous” Evil Twins are coming from Baton Rouge to share their special brand of Cajun wit and wisdom with the Tiger faithful!
Great food menu! Two bars – 16 beers on draft – and yes they have Abita beer! No cover charge! Everyone gets a chance to win door prizes, including Two postgame admission tickets ($150 value) to the Lindy’s “Downtown Countdown” New Year’s Eve mega party at the Atlanta Hyatt Regency. The Holiday Bowl game between Oklahoma State and Oregon will be shown on the big screen TV in the party area. It’s THE Tuesday night blowout for LSU fans in Atlanta!
Engine 11 (formerly the Spotted Dog Pub) is conveniently located at 30 North Avenue at the intersection of Peachtree Street in Midtown. It’s only one mile north of the downtown hotels on Peachtree and one short block east of the North Avenue MARTA station - just one stop north of the Peachtree Center station. (Map link: www.mapquest.com/maps?city=Atlanta&state=GA&address=30+North+Avenue+NE&zipcode=30308)
There is a parking lot next door and plenty of additional lots along West Peachtree and all around the Fox Theater nearby (there is no event at the Fox that night.) Phone (404) 873-FIRE.
A portion of the bar sales will be donated to the LSU Atlanta scholarship endowment fund .
Come on down Tiger fans!

..I will be talking to one of the leaders of the LSU Alumni Chapter first thing in the morning (Friday) and will find this out for you. I will post it onto this thread to give you your answer.

Thanks for sharing that. That's a cool place, and it's a quick hop on the MARTA from most of the hotels...just a block up the street on the left. Food is good too.
The alumni chapter put it together and there is nothing else in the way of a club promotion going on downtown that night. Having the Evil Twins helping pump up the crowd will be a hoot!
The club is also making a donation to our scholarship fund so they are really supporting LSU.

You realize this is literally 3 blocks and a bridge from the GA Tech campus? Now not many will be around campus on NY Eve, but you may have some visitors.

Hey Tigerfancoon,
I talked to one of the leaders of the Atlanta Chapter of the Alumni Association. He spoke to the owner of the establishment.
The owner said that his business is a restaurant/bar (no smoking allowed) so children are allowed in the building. They only request that children be accompanied by adult when in the establishment.

Tech fans are more than welcome. Consider it auditing the "Football Parties and Tailgates 101" course.
Tech tailgating is almost nonexistent from the couple of times I've been to Bobby Dodd.

LOL. You got that right. There's good tailgating in spots, but they're so spread out, you have to know where they are to find them. Like I said, I can't imagine too many students on campus NY Eve, but it's a bit humorous to me that your big bash is 3 blocks off campus. Then again, I'm easily amused.

This sounds like FUN! Count me in... because I'll be there!
