Texas fans will show up for this one like they did when ND came to Austin. They’ve got way too much pride to let LSU come in and take over their stadium like most SEC teams do. Be prepared to pay a lot for a ticket.

FYI, Texas non-conference games only allot approximately 4,500 tickets to visitors. You might be able to buy some from brokers or scalpers, otherwise that’s all LSU will get. Also, visitor seats in DKR are pretty bad. They are facing the setting sun on the far end of the east sideline and scattered throughout the upper deck.

I already know actually getting a ticket will be next to impossible so I was gonna just do the Austin trip and hit 6th Street & maybe get lucky on a ticket but if not I’ll still just want the experience. Definitely lookin forward to it.

LSU at Texas football 2019Where will this rank in best traveled regular season games? I know I will be there. Will more Tigers travel to this game than LSU vs Oregon in Jerry’s world? I was at that game and there were tons of Tigers.
LSU needs to focus on 2018. frick Texas

Yep. This has Dallas or Houston written all over it
this is a home-and-home series. Completely different situation - they won't move it to a neutral site.

I went to both schools, I may get UT season tickets just for the LSU game.

Can't see it being moved to a neutral site. UT has 6 home games, 5 road and 1 neutral. (2 if you count Rice at NRG). If the LSU game was moved to a neutral site that would only give them 5 home games.

Like how our home and home against TCU was turned into just one neutral site game? Or how the home and home against oklahoma was just straight up cancelled?

I'm considering flying over from Ireland for this with the missus (will post pics for tickets).

What will the ticket situation be, might I be lucky enough to find a season ticket holder who isn't attending who might source a ticket for me if I tried?

I have been waiting for this series since I moved to baton rouge. I can tell you this, the LSU fans making the trip to Austin will enjoy one of the most gratifying college gameday weekends.
When I went to my first of many LSU games in Baton Rouge, I would let my friends know that if they ever went to a college game that they would have to come to a Tigers game. There is no other experience like it. I am a Longhorn and that would never waiver. But over the years I have become a tiger fan, probably cause my beautiful wife is a Tiger grad. But mostly because of the atmosphere surrounding game day in Baton Rouge.
With that being said, Longhorn fans aren't as arrogant as most people believe. You will be welcomed to the city as if you are family, you will eat some of the best barbQ in the country. You will see a beautiful city and meet some great people. Experience all that Austin has to offer. I promise you, that you will not be disappointed.

Hopefully, the Horns and Tigers are at the top of their respected conference!

See you guys in Austin!!! Hookem and Geaux Tigers

When you posted this 1.5 years ago I bet you didn't expect 40k LSU fans estimated in Austin! Best Traveled regular season game...It'll be close for sure.

Going without tickets like the other 37k fans...lol
