I get that they started off hot but our crowd still would not sound like this even with the score. We have to bring back early 2000s football crowd and 80s/early 90s basketball crowd. Don’t wait for good things to happen to cheer. Shake the damn bus when the team is rolling up!

Know how I know you haven’t been to a game in the last 20 years?

Try this:

LSU's arena better be like Auburn's next year.

They play and uptempo game and score a lot of points in bunches. That will always get the crowd rolling.

LSU plays more of a methodical game that doesn't excite the casual fan. That's not a bad thing. It's just not conducive to exciting play when you are grinding out possession 30 seconds at a time

Well I spent 5 years at LSU and had season tickets when i lived in BR after. While the average game was nothing like this, to think LSU fans cant get loud in the PMAC is wrong.

Yea you weren’t even around in 2006 or 2009 when lsu was even kind of loud. Like I said, go to an ACC game and you will understand. SLU vs Marquette in BMO Bradley center was louder than any lsu game I’ve ever been to

Anyways I’m obviously a little tipsy so sorry for being hot headed. I’ve just been to some great atmospheres in my life and lsu basketball has not been anywhere close to the top

This is total shite. If we were kicking arse like Auburn, the PMAC would have been jumping. Wins pack the arena.

What are they like 19-2 now??

Auburn wanted to win at basketball. They hired Bruce Pearl.

LSU didn't give a shite about basketball. They hired Trent Johnson and Johnny Jones.

I'm excited about the Wade Era but our history in hoops leads me to believe that success here is gonna be tough

Not one of you in this thread was around in the early 80s. It can get plenty loud. And will again.

It was plenty loud in the pmac during the 99-06 years as well.

I've never heard it louder in any sporting event, then when we beat Arizona in January of 2000 and Jabari had that break away, fake behind the back pass dunk right before the half. People were falling into the aisles.

That game was vintage PMAC. The students showed up and stayed loud the whole game.

I was a student during the Dale Brown era. I attended a Final Four as a student in 1981 and I have seen banners hung from the rafters. Back then we used to stand in line for hours to get in to big games. I watched the game today. Don't worry. The Deaf Dome at its peak is second to none. Auburn is not even close. I have been to football games all over the country. Nothing comes close to Tiger Stadium at its peak and we are talking about the same people. . Admittedly we are not always at our peak, but next year we will have plenty to cheer about. We can handle crowd noise.

I was around in the late-70s and played a pickup game in the Field House with Macklin and Scales before their first season. Those years, the Assembly Center was packed and rocked like few others. It can again.

Auburn arena only seats about 9500 sold out. You can put Auburns new arena inside of the PMAC and still have room to spare. At 13,000 seats, its gonna take every seat in the house filled every night to sound like that.
