He's actually already addressed that multiple times. You just keep harping on what Robe said.

I think he wants what's best for the program. Don't you?

and you also said very early on in this thread that you were just checking in to see why UL fans thought anyone care about us, Your numerous posts following that seems to indicate you care very much about us.
My posts started about the Classic itself and went into how LSU has no good reason (and neither does ULL) to play good in state schools in a weekend series. That's when you replied to me and we got in this "Robe thinks" argument.

No, he did not. He actually keeps denying he said it. And all I did was repeat why Robe said on the radio. And I only that once. I'm not harping on anything.

All from Elle

quote:

Neither school wants a home and home series. LSU would rather 2 midweek games vs the good in state schools because we are already so limited there. We play southern, grambling, nicholls, etc. because we aren't driving distance to many decent schools. And in the "winter", when we have these open weekends, it pays to get those northern schools to come down here. ULL does the same... and wants the same.

quote:

2) Again, I've said it's in each teams interest to play each other during the week more rather than the other crap in state schools. 3) He knows that's what the fans want to hear.

quote:

This isn't about what's in Robe's brain. I don't pretend to guess. But it's obvious that a 3 game series is less beneficial to the programs (money) than bringing down northern schools

quote:

But ULL likes hosting home games and so does LSU. Why wouldn't they?

quote:

I never stated anything about Robe. Why are you still clinging to that?!?

He's never going to understand your point.

Especially when you do something as condescending as typing it out the way you did....with properly spelled words and shite.

from you

quote:

Robe was on the radio yesterday saying that 1) lsu will be at the tigue in 2018, and 2) both sides are working to schedule more games for in the future, the goal being an annual 3-game series.

So, not sure how you were able to get inside Robe's brain and determine that he really doesn't want that to happen.

quote:

You stated as fact that Robe didn't want something. On what basis are you making that claim? Are you his assistant? Did he otherwise tell you that?

Because based on what he said on the radio yesterday, your post is totally inaccurate.

quote:

you did state as a fact 'robe doesn't want.'

quote:

When you stated for a 'fact' what Robe doesn't want......when in reality you know nothing about it......was in your first post, not your second.

But my main point still remains: despite you saying what Robe wants/doesn't want, you actually have no idea of what you are talking about.

quote:

I'm clinging to it because it's something you clearly said.

Each team has 4 spare weekend series prior to conference, right? LSU isn't (and better not) stop going to the Houston classic every other year. That makes it really difficult to get a home and home going with ANYONE much less an in-state school that it already needs to play 2 times a year just to keep from playing Southern, Grambling, Nicholls, and Northwestern over and over. Tulane and Southeastern are on the same level as ULL at this point. More midweek games with them is good too.

Yeah. I've always advocated for annual home and homes with the teams you mentioned (ULL, Tulane, SELU) and then rotate ULM, Tech, McNeese, Southern, UNO, NSU, Nicholls, setting up where you play like 5 of them in a year but only one of them on the road. And never playing Grambling or any other SWAC school not named Southern.

ETA: I think as long as Mainieri is here though, we're going to play at least one game at UNO, which doesn't really bother me. And we'll probably have Lamar on the schedule for a while. Also doesn't bother me.

I went to that game. I never leave early. Wanted to rip my eyes out watching Adams swing and miss multiple times vs a guy throwing 64 mph.

Skip is the one who started LSU playing the instate schools, as a way to build up college baseball in the State. And with all the negative history with ULLLL's program, pardon me if I do not take anything Robichaux says as the gospel. Especially on the radio.

Lol. Except when he was making his 'point' he included just about all of the posts in question. Except the one where he clearly says that Robe doesn't want something. And he has no idea about what Robe thinks/wants. Neither do I.
