Something just doesn't sit right with FCS victories being included. Why do teams have to keep doing this?

Just wait till the OP reads about who teams like Michigan were beating 100 years ago while piling up that historical win mark.

I get what you are saying but this attitude is disrespectful to the players, coaches, and staff of those FCS schools that put it on the line. They put in the preparation and took the hits, and they know every time these games come up that they will likely get their butts kicked. But then Appy State beats Michigan, and Troy beats LSU, and ULM beats alabama.

Those guys play the game, too. Their efforts should be represented.

As much as we all hate FCS games, it helps those schools athletics departments survive which in turn keeps people (staff/coaches) employed in a career they love, helps athletes get degrees and advance their lives, and overall is a good thing allowing more athletes to compete on a high level as the big schools only have so many spots and not every kid gets good exposure. Taking away some of those money games really crushes many schools athletic budgets.

I'm all for keeping the money in state. Read somewhere the other day that only three FBS programs have never scheduled a current FCS program- USC, UCLA and Notre Dame, if I recall correctly.

If your opponents do it, then you might as well too. Its the closest thing to a preseason game we can get in college football and I think true fans don't mind a bit at seeing the second and third string play, because they're usually highly touted recruits.

For what it's worth, Northwestern State played us almost as close as Clemson did in the first half.

Every National Championship team since 2006 had an FCS team on their schedule except 2007 LSU and 2014 OSU.
