I just want to know this:
Why the hell do so many Bama fans post here and follow so religiously? I mean damn, do they think they are running recon for Saban and will find some crucial nugget of info?
Alabama isn't out biggest rival. For LSU, everybody is our rival. And I kind of like it that way. We don't spend all year stewing about effin Auburn, Arkansas, Bama, or Ole Miss. We don't like ANY of em. It's unique in my opinion.

Tennessee is Bama's biggest rival. Auburn is the most hated. Lsu will never replace that. Now, having said that, it does not mean that the Bama/Lsu game will not be the most important in the years to come. I believe that game will decide who has a chance to play for the SEC CG from the west and possibly will place one or the other in a position for a title run in the coming years. Congrats on another great recruiting class and can't wait until November.

Barn will always be our rivalry game. I'd rather beat them by 50 every year. Now LSU is begining to become a big game because of the importance to the SEC west so it's becoming a big game but it's not a rivalry game.

Do we count last year as bama being "great"? I would say no - only the new coming of a dynasty. We measure greatness by Championships, SEC and National.

I agree theres a difference and I hate to see my fellow bammers bask in the glory days as I was not even alive to see them. But since we're all clear, lets go ahead and put a time table on what "the past" is so no one gets confused. If we go back to 02 when we beat ya'll is that the past? What about 03 when ya'll beat us in Bryant Denny?
From my understanding anything that was not last year or a current streak is considered "the past." Therefore all those wins would still be considered the past. If your thoughts are different, please let me know.

It's all about what they want to make it. If it's about the "bear" then it's "the past" and it can be made fun of. Yet, if it's about there 1.0 national championships (0.5 in 2003 and 0.5 in 2007) then we can't dare dispute that because the NCAA said so (Playoffs what?!)! Then again, we can't get too recent because this seasons win was a fluke and Saban cheated and JPW raped somebody's mother or something of the sort....
