Auburn will always be a bigger rival to them, but if things keep going like they have as of late, we will jump tennessee as their 2nd biggest rival.

It would have to be something that has meaning for both sides. So one thing we have in common is that game is late in the year and sets the tone for the rest of the season (Bama in 2007 and LSU in 2008 both spiraled out of control, while the winner went on to a BCS game). So it's like the Last Judgment. My vote would be:

If Alabama fans were forced to choose one, and only one, of the following three games to win next season, which one do you think they would choose?
Auburn
Tennessee
LSU
Despite what anyone claims, I guarantee you that deep down 90% of Bama fans would choose LSU out of those three. Does that make LSU their biggest rival? Probably not, but the Alabama-LSU game has become huge, ON BOTH SIDES, not just to LSU fans. It's a game with a great story (the old power versus the new power, Saban bowl, etc.) and the magnitude of the rivalry will only continue to grow in the coming years. LSU and Bama will easily dominate the West for the forseeable future, and that inherently makes LSU and Bama rivals, as they have always been.
