Ummmm....New Orleans maybe !!!

You really think we're gonna get a team like Oregon to come to New Orleans for a "neutral site" game with no return?

LOL, Just like we'd get LSU to a "neutral site" game at Autzen with not return game. We'll call it the NW Challenge game.

Last night just for kicks I went back and looked at the first e-mails LSU sent out to promote this game and in the seating chart nowhere did it denote most of the premium seats being taken by Cowboy season ticket holders.

I had no chance of getting tickets and have not been looking into getting tickets, yet I knew for months that Dallas season ticket holders were getting first priority for their seats. I don't know how everyone did not know that.

that being said, I will be in Dallas for the game. If I somehow get a ticket, then awesome. If It don't, then I'm still gonna have a great time.

Those of you that got only one ticket, sell it to me and I promise you that by the end of the game I will have a few more LSU and maybe one or two Oregon friends.

In conclusion, be happy that you got one ticket, and go bitch about something else.

Enough said...they just don't ever stop whinning do they?!

not screwed the schools over like Jones.

So by giving the schools a marquee game on National TV and guaranteeing that each school would net (NOT gross but net) revenue equivalent to a home game is screwing the schools?

Thanks for reminding me so quickly why I stopped coming to TD for so long.

Ok......I, in addition to many others put in for the $250 seats thinking they actually had a decent amount of these available in the LSU allotment.

They did have a "decent" allotment. Just because they didn't have enough to fulfill your request doesn't mean they didn't have a decent number.

Clearly many LSU season tix holders were duped into believing they had a great shot at preferred seating.

Exactly how was anyone duped? If you believed that there was enough preferred seating to fill all of LSU's 60,000 ticket requests as well as Oregon's, as well as the private sales....well then that is your own stupid fault. The stadium only has 80,000 seats.

why were more than enough premium tickets available(lot smaller stadium) to the schools last year for the game in Atlanta?

First of all, how the G-Dome folks define premium has nothing to do with what Jerry considers premium seats.

Secondly, it is also possible that the G-Dome people were able to sell more premium seats through the schools because they weren't guaranteeing as much money to the schools. Go look at the prices of those premium seats for the Dallas game that are being sold through private resellers, and you will find out why Jerry could guarantee so much money. Remember, the private resellers (not auctions, but more like agents) are only allowed to tack on a relatively small processing fee. So not all of the price difference goes in their pockets.

But the minimum should be 2 tickets if asked for. It makes NO sense getting one ticket and not getting to sit by a friend or family.

I agree with this.

We've been seeing top 5 matchups in Tiger Stadium the last few years and people have their good Tiger Stadium seats for less than that PLUS it's a true home game.

You also weren't guaranteeing that BOTH teams would receive "home game money"

there are a lot of tickets available for under $500 in semi-decent areas of the stadium.

Also, 4 tickets available in the suites for $20,000 each

LAT. Same here. Decent seats in Atlanta and at UW, PP about the same (<2000), so thought I might get decent seats, even requested the high dollar ones. I would like someone to produce a map or a note I would have had access to while deciding on whether to take my kids or not showing the Cowgirls bogarting all the sideline seats. Show me.

To the poster telling me to have fewer kids, don't blame me because no one will have relations with you. And Saul, take your offer we can refuse back to Stubhub-your act has worn thin in a short time. I guess our thousands of dollars a year aren't enough to buy any honesty from LSU.

I don't know. I was just saying that if anyone did get just one, that that wouldn't be cool.

I am not and never have been a fan of neutral site games. That said. I will be attending in Dallas.

This is a great game and the market has driven prices up. LSU will make their bank from Jerry Jones ...

If you had the schools setting the price of tickets artificially below the market rate, all you'd have is a lot of folks selling their tickets to those willing to pay market price.

Does anyone have an official seating chart which illustrates which seats were allotted to Oregon, which were assigned to Oregon, and which were reserved for the public?

This is the map I saw on LSUsports.net. While it does show the majority of LSU's seating to be in the uppers, I believe it somewhat gives a false impression that there was more seating within the lower sections available to LSU. That being said, the way you had to go about requesting tickets (based on the highest priced level you would accept as opposed to having the option to decline uppers) gave fans no options to opt out of the upper tickets. The reason for that is obvious, LSU wanted to sell all the seats. I can see how people could be upset. On the other hand, I've been dealing with TAF long enough to know if you are expecting everything to be as it appears, you are naive at best.

Thanks. Are all of the colored seats (i.e. the seections that haven't been blacked out) on that chart allotted to LSU? If so, it appears that LSU has 60%-70% of the stadium. I presume some of the blacked out seats are reserved for Oregon. If so, it doesn't appear that many seats have been retained for Cowboy's season ticket holders/the public. What am I missing?

My guess is that LSU/Oregon had seats available within those premium sections and didn't "own" all of the tickets in those areas. I think that is the source of the confusion; the map appeared to show LSU had more premium seats available than they really did. Then, the fact that some folks wouldn't have bothered requesting seats had they known they would have been in the uppers.

well stated....i don't think you would have had near as many requests if people knew what the seating assignments were actually going to look like...
