They played more top 50 teams and beat more top 50 teams than LSU this year.

They beat 4, and this is all based on LSU winning the SEC tourney at which point LSU may have beaten SIX top 50 opponents.

So I don't know how you can say LSU has played or will play a harder schedule.

Because if LSU rolls Tenn, SC, and Florida in the SEC tourney it won't even be close. Even those games against AU and Vandy will probably help our SOS as bad as it is right now.

It really doesn't matter what our numbers look like as much as some think it does. It is all about perception. If LSU win's out it will have everyone talking about them. It would not be hard or surprising to get a 3 seed. I think we will need some help to get a 2 seed.

Remember that LSU is a lock, and the others are playing for a spot. Nobody rolls anybody in conference tourneys. Who'd of thought GA would win the conf tourney last year?

Lunardi has LSU vs Ohio St in the 8-9 game in Greensboro with both staying steady at those seeds. Granted, it's still early but he's usually pretty dead on.

The most recent Lunardi bracket was actually a mock seeding by several ESPN people using results given by the NCAA (had Florida winning the SEC tourney for instance). In the last Lunardi-only bracket we were a #7.

The Bracket Matrix has us averaging a 6 seed out of 55 brackets, with a range of 5-8.

We're not getting a 2 or 3 seed. Period. Everyone will be a lot happier on selection day if they stop deluding themselves.

Correct. Seeding is all about perception, and the perception this year is that the SEC is terrible. Add that to the fact that our SOS is pretty weak, and I think we'll end up with a #6 seed, at best. Bachus is correct.....don't get worked up over the seeding. If we win, I'll be happy no matter who we beat, whether they are #9, #11, or #1.
