He can be a combination of Cam Newton, Sam Bradford, and Matt Ryan.....it won't matter. CLM will start and play JJ at least for the first few games (and maybe longer) unless something catastrophic happens. Anyone who thinks differently is either delusional or has been sleeping the last three football seasons. By the way, this is not directed toward bashing Miles. Admittedly, I am not a Miles fan, but I love LSU. I would pull for Tonya Harding as Tigers' QB if it would help us win.

NO... It really doesn't, and it's very dumb to assume that a positiger or a negatiger cares any more for LSU than the other. If people didn't care whether LSU won, you wouldn't have so much passion and emotion before, during, and after a game.

Well said. +1 :geauxtigers:
West Virginia fans making fun of Louisiana is kind of funny. The term "redneck" was originally started in and was about West Virginians......

Did you hear about the redneck who passed away and left his entire estate in trust to his beloved widow?
....She can't touch it until she's 14.

If a man and woman get divorced in West Virginia, are they still brother and sister?

Q. How do you know that the toothbrush was invented in West Virginia?
A. If it would have been invented anywhere else, it would have been called a "teethbrush."

Why do folks in West Virginia go to movie theaters in groups of 18 or more? Because 17 and under are not admitted.

What's the difference between Virginia and West Virginia? In Virginia, Moosehead is a beer. In West Virginia, it's a misdemeanor.
We don't need a 5 star QB.....we need better play from whatever QB plays. Matt Mauck and Matt Flynn weren't the cream of the crop, but we won national championships with both of them. We have blue chip recruits at several positions riding the bench right now. I love LSU, but I realize that our problem lies more with coaching than it does with talent.

It's on CBS in Pennsylvania.
Who cares what the media says or predicts. Celebrate what we've already earned. I work with a guy who is a huge Cowboys fan and he was mouthing off today in front of a crowd about how the Cowboys killed the Saints last year and would do it again this year. I told him that he was right that the Cowboys killed us last year. I asked him what was the name of the trophy that Dallas got for beating the Saints last season? We have one in New Orleans from last season and it's called the LOMBARDI TROPHY! 9 of 10 experts can predict us to go 0 and 16 this year, but we still have that trophy. Nobody can take that away. Let 'em all talk all they want. We'll do our talking on the field.

New England's record................

Posted by PennTiger on 11/22/09 at 7:55 pm
When New England takes on the Saint's this coming week, it will be the seventh time this year that their opponent is undefeated when they met. That has got to be a record. By the way, the Pats are 3-3 in those games (soon to be 3-4). :usa:
With Jefferson out, Lee was forced to play with little to no action this year. Why? It's not as if JJ has been lights out this year. Lee could have played one or two series a game every game this year. That way when he had to play, it wouldn't be such a shock. Miles did the same thing with JJ last year. He never played at all, despite Lee's struggles and took a couple of games to feel comfortable when he was forced to play. Lee had experience, but it was "bad" experience from '08. He could have used confidence building experience from playing success in the right situation. Our boys played their hearts out and deserved to win. At LSU, there are no such things as moral victories.

I lived in Louisiana my entire life up until 2005, and have always been a diehard Saints fan. I now live 2 hours from Philadelphia and have been to numerous Eagles games. If you plan on being loud and wearing your Saints colors, sit as low as you can in the stadium. Also, you can expect to be harassed (verbally and physically) before, during, and after the game. It's not as bad as it once was (in Veteran's stadium), but it can be bad. I've seen it first hand. Philadelphia fans (not all, but enough) don't have a screw loose, they have several missing.

If we were to get Brown, how many points would we have on Rivals?

If Brown were to sign with us, Rivals would revise their individual rankings, with him dropping from #1 to #17, and our total points would either go down or at the very best be one less than Bammer. It's written in Lil Nick's contract that he finish every year with the #1 recruiting class (according to Rivals).

re: B.J. Chitty

I wasn't questioning what you said......I'm just surprised that LSU has an interest in him. Guys like Morris Claiborne this year flew under the radar because his school could do very little to promote him. I doubt that would be the case with Chitty being in Dothan, Al. Maybe our coaches like him for some reason after watching film of Josh Williford (also from Dothan). Williford wasn't that highly recruited either, but he sure is big.

It is all about perception.
Correct. Seeding is all about perception, and the perception this year is that the SEC is terrible. Add that to the fact that our SOS is pretty weak, and I think we'll end up with a #6 seed, at best. Bachus is correct.....don't get worked up over the seeding. If we win, I'll be happy no matter who we beat, whether they are #9, #11, or #1. :nana:

Also, his 40 times show between 4.55 and 4.60.

He's 6'2" or 6'3" (depending on who you talk to, and weighs 185 lbs. He's classified as an "athlete." He's from Dothan, Alabama. It would be surprising that LSU would be after him, because he's not ranked in anybody's book.
The picks do not have to equal. It's called the law of supply and demand....if another team wants our pick because a player they covet is available at #14, it's up to them to "entice" us to trade picks with them. If we like their offer, we accept. If we don't, we stay at #14. The "point value chart" is only an aid, not a rule book when determining trade values.

re: Jamarkus McFarland.......

Two things happened to McFarland to reduce his rating:

1)he didn't sign with the gumps at Bammer

2)his finalists included LSU, not Bammer

Rivals "adjusts" its ratings according to how it will help the U of Tuscaloser. On a side note, I heard recently that Nick Saban has weekly lessons with the Devil on how to be more evil and conniving.........no word yet on how much the Devil has to pay for the lessons.
