a win is a win .. but you have to be realistic .. we couldn't maintain drives with outstanding field position all night long .. beautiful TD pass by JJ and wicked cut back by shep on the TD .. but UNC was playing with their bottom of the barrel on punt and kick return coverage and it obviously showed .. Peterson will be a nice return man .. but don't expect last night every week ..

After watching UF's offense, I thought LSU's looked great.

Urban will get that shite straight .. if we don't run the ball consistently and hold on to it .. it'll be a long season ..

This. Florida did not go through a year of a sluggish offense like this already. This feels just like last season where I kept expecting LSU to break out and function on offense. It never happened.

Was at game and agree with a lot of posts, mostly:

- No intermediate passing game (10-15 yrds) against a team with 2nd string d-line and secondary?? did we not work on that all offseason? Clearly when JL was struggling they told JJ "you can be the starting QB for the LSU Tigers if you just don't throw interceptions" and JJ has never forgotten that.

- Maybe it was a form of prevent D but no adjustments to defend the slants??

- Might actually serve as a lesson on retaining focus, imposing your "want" / killer instinct and closing out games. Were looking for a confidence-building dominating performance but this might serve us later in the year.

Did either Jarett Lee or Michael Ford see the field?

Im more concerned with the LSU D. Piss poor scheme and effort. You must stop the opposing offense to give your offense more chances to score

Neither Lee nor Ford saw action.

I guess if this was a track meet and not a football game, we'd be unstoppable.....

I'll bet you could count them on one hand.

Really? You're concerned about a defense that gave up over 400 yards passing to a crappy QB with his top two RBs and his best WR not playing? Why?

How many "lessons" on this does this program need?

Ford is better than Murphy... This is the upper classman, good ole coaching philosophy of Les Miles... I want Ford in the mix but we don't promote competition at LSU anymore... He will just have to wait for Murphy and Ridely to graduate...
