Top 25

AP poll

Sugar Bowl does not "select" SEC team...highest ranked team after Bama in the CFP poll goes. Unless Florida wins SEC title game, then they go to Sugar Bowl.

CFP poll is the one they use but I would guess Auburn would be ahead of us

Yeah but it's the committee rankings that count

We're still paying for those fart bombs left behind by Miles.

Wonder if a win in the cancelled game would've put them over Auburn?

It's going to be extremely tight for the sugar bowl. Probably will come down to only 2 or 3 spots

We go into the 4th 0-0 and lose 10-0, they were never in the game and lose big. We drop 11 and they drop 6? Wow.

Well as someone pointed out yesterday, Auburn had like 8 teams behind them lose. When we lost to Bama, only one or two teams lost behind us.

yeah, i wonder if the fact that we played that game under Miles and are a different team now will weigh into the choice. Also is it the coaches poll of the playoff ranking that matter?

It's still up in the air. While this poll does give us an indication of what the CFB playoff rankings will be in regards to LSU-Auburn, it's not the decider. CFB rankings very well could be different and even change over the next 7 days. Don't forget that coaches and AP are likely not looking at auburn LSU in a vacuum as it relates to the sugar bowl, while the CFB playoff committee rankings will take that into account and certainly be aware of the implications of ranking one over the other as well as the sugar bowls's preference all things being equal.

Don't forget there's still an entire week for the Sugar Bowl to let the CFB playoff committee know that it would prefer LSU ranked over Auburn and Florida. Although I don't think Florida is as big of a roadblock as auburn because Florida is likely to be eliminated in the race after getting beat by Bama.

Auburn is certainly the "favorite" at this point for the Sugar Bowl, but LSU is still in the mix. We shall see.

I am quick to blame coaching when I see it as the problem, but the missed fieldgoal, Guices and Jackson's fumbles, and Guice going the wrong way on last play were more of the reason we lost.Although it wasnt a great coaching job either, we coached good enough to win.

Beat Florida and we're in the Sugar.

We did move the ball and everything, but FSU gave up a TD on a special teams fumble, missed two FGs, had multiple turnovers by the QB and they still beat UF by 18. Our team just wasn't focused enough and the play calling in the red zone was bad.
