2 outs with a runner on 1B is a good time to be in “no doubles”, which means you deepen up and try to keep the ball from getting to the wall.
To us that must mean play your left fielder 5 steps away from the centerfielder and then we feed the right handed batter offspeed pitches so he can pull it down the line.
