LSU fans are saying the same exact things about (Current Coaches) that they said about (previous coaches).

Since i was a little kid 30 years ago the exact same stuff.

Like LSU fans are convinced LSU is the unstoppable Kansas City Chiefs and if we merely had a decent coach we would win every game 150-10 and nobody could possibly stop us ever.

Yeah they didnt play Alabama 4 weeks in a row so their offense doesnt count. Lane Kiffin doing this every year doesnt count either.
Dude our defense wasn’t good today. Just because our offense was worse doesn’t mean our defense was good

So tired they couldn't get a guy within 15 yards of that dude? They could have given the ball back to the offense with a minute and a half to go 60 yards to win the game

You are such a fricking Madden/NCAA 26 casual.

How much better could they be. They stopped Lane Kiffins offense basically every time if you take away Weeks being an idiot, and they forced 2 turnovers.

It's not 2005 anymore you cant hold teams to 7 points unless their QB sucks like Arch.

Sloan was basically promoted so we could hold onto Bryce Underwood’s commitment. I think he’s overstayed his welcome in this role.

Not replacing Denbrock with a real OC will be Kelly's undoing at LSU. This is the year he had no excuses. He's got talent on both sides of the ball and a veteran QB. I don't know wtf has happened to Nussmeier, but he's regressed to the point we're at 2015 Les Miles ineptitude at QB.

LSU had 56 plays to OM 84 which is asking a lot from defense but still kept it close. The offense must improve.

The offense just didn’t get it done, but the Nuss stupid pick when we were driving and the West roughing loom LARGE. That’s a 10 point (minimum) swing in a one score game.

Tennessee just let Mississippi State score 35 points on them.

Defenses dont stop the other team every single time unless you're playing Madden on easy which is where half of you get your football knowledge.

Now I'll wait for some dumb casual to say "yeah well Tennessee sucks" like LSU is prime Alabama and Tennessee wouldn't beat LSU but 2 touchdowns this year

If the injury is hindering him that much, he shouldn't be out there. Today was bad. Hospital balls, throwing into triple coverage, the legs of a snail.

This. It also sucks because Sloan being promoted has probably cut into the time he can spend working with QBs. Ironically, it may have hurt Nuss’s development.

I think he elevated Sloan to keep some continuity because he was wiping out the entire defensive staff that 23 offseason. That and Underwood at the time.

But he had the bowl game that year to see that Sloan wasn’t just stepping into those shoes. And at the very least, he should have made the move after Underwood flipped this offseason. That was a big, big mistake.

Has Nuss developed?

He looked like Brett Favre against Georgia in that SECCG and now he looks like Andy Dalton with a leg injury.

TORSOGATE was a pack of lies told for months and now it has been exposed. Dude will ride #18 like Seabiscuit, right to another 8-4 season with no playoffs and will get chippy with the press doing it and he won't have a fool's gold win to shield him from the justifiable criticism. Go pound a table.

We saw the difference between a well coached/designed/called offense, and one that isn’t. It seems like Sloan and Kelly want to run certain things come hell or high water.

I don't think you can blame it on an injury. He's thrown some odd looking balls, underthrown open receivers, sure, but he's made some ridiculously bad decisions too, so it's more than a physical thing. He's regressed across the board.

He seems to be playing scared - scared to make a mistake - for some reason. Coaches? Overthinking? He's had open receivers and hasn't pulled the trigger too many times. At this point, he needs to get back to the gunslinger Nuss because this cautious one isn't working. I've been firmly on the Nuss Bus but am looking to get off - unfortunately, it may be time to give Van Buren a look. At least he can make some plays with his feet from time to time.
Good thing is that's it's only one loss. The whole season is still there for the taking.

You held a Lane Kiffin team to 24 points at home running 80+ plays. WTF are you taking about? You should score more than 19 on a team that gave up 35 to Arkansas.

Yep, totally get it. But he was putting a lot of chips on the table with a guy who wasn't proven and he should have known better than to do that to get one player. I'd understand a youngish coach making that mistake, but Kelly should have known better. I give Kelly credit for eventually acknowledging mistakes and course correcting, but he'll be halfway through his contract by the time he cuts Sloan loose and he's just getting paid way too much for that kind of mediocrity.
