Very pumped for this game! So good to see LSU put a team on the floor where any one of 5 players can score 20 points if need be. Very balanced and unselfish team so far.

Will be interesting to see how the Tigers look in the 1st half. They've looked really bad in the 1st half in some of their OOC games - I can understand why they weren't jacked up for some of these games.

LSU wins tonight 87-74

LSU -2.5. Called it in a thread a few days ago. Gonna be a freakin dog fight. Need this one bad.

About what was expected. I think Kenpom has us winning by 3. I think it is back and forth then one team takes over the last couple minutes (hoping that's LSU).

I'd love to see this, but I doubt it. Until we actually beat someone soundly on the road, I'll stick with a prediction of around 3-5 points.

I'm just glad we have a team that has confidence that they can win down the stretch. I feel like we have lost a lot of close games the past few years, but this year we have won all the close ones.

Yea, losing all those close games for years has been so frustrating. That WV win this year seems like it has worked wonders for this team's confidence.

I mean we missed a few last minute shots that would have won us games last year. Hickey made the shots 2 years ago, but not last year. I like that this year we actually play real offense rather than let our PG dribble around and throw up a fade away three.

I hope that we don't start as bad as we have the last 2 games. Mizzou as bad as they are will be a much tougher team to come back on especially at home. We need to start fast and put the fans to sleep.

I think this is a dog fight.

I just hope we don't have any 5-8 minute stretches without scoring.

Just did some quick research... Guess what two games LSU has had a 5+ minute scoring drought in? hint: This is not a trick question...

not as bad as you're putting on, they've lost three to four close games to some decent teams, it will be a tough environment to play up there tonite, their stadium will be full and rocking, however I think this tiger team has it in them to pull a win off on the road

Mizzou can definitely fill the stadium up so Im glad we got them before school is back in session. Definitely one of the venues it is good to get out of the way before the students are in school.

They have a couple pretty good post players. A freshman that just became eligible to play 4 games ago has really helped them. They don't have a ton of depth, but they should be much tougher than LSU's last few opponents. I'll do some research on post defense.

edit:

After some further research, it looks like Missouri opponents that had someone "go off" were almost always from a 6' guard type. The only team that really had big guys score a lot of points was Arizona. Maybe they just haven't played very many teams that rely on big guys. I did notice post players with a lot of FT attempts so I'd think that we could get them into foul trouble getting the ball down low.
