Yes, but that makes no difference to the one who posts and boasts. To them, they're always right, and certainly not ever "convinced" by anyone.

when is the last big game where you felt like miles outcoached an elite or good sec team

I thought the coaching job at Ala this year was on par with what went on across the sidelines. At the end of that game half of our offense was second string, some 3rd and fourth string. Peterson was cramping, and a play that he missed resulted in a TD, as well as, and don't get me started on, the non-interception. Not blaming Peterson, but those are the facts. It was a rough game and we coached and competed well.
Not sure what your definition of elite/good SEC team is --- expectations are so high on this board that I can see only UA and UF on it this year. After all, no other team has less than 4 losses.
Last year we didn't compete b/c of the dc situation. Period.
The year before that he outcoached Meyer, Tuberville, Tressel and Fulmer. And before you get started on the 4th down plays, I think our defense outplayed UF's offense.
Of course, I am sure this is not good enough but will have to do until he wins the next NC or gets booted for having 10 win seasons instead of 11 win seasons.

You guys remember (mid-90s) when the AD at Nebraska stated that they would not tolerate mediocrity (referencing Frank Solich and his 8,9, 10 win seasons). They fired Solich and the bottom fell out.
Eerily similar thoughts on this board. Good programs have great years and good years. In all of Spurrier's great years at Florida, he only had one Nat Title.
I'm sorry. 9-3 is not mediocrity in the SEC 5, 6, 7, win seasons are mediocrity (yes I know we were very close to this this year)

This board is infected with an epidemic of childish/teenage girl logic and thinking.
You bash those who would relieve Coach M from his duties now, but, on the other hand, you state that next year is the "make or break year" for Coach Miles.
If you had a brain that could reason like an adult, you'd realize that Coach Miles is the EXACT same coach NOW as he was in 2005, AND that he will be the exact same coach in 2010.
Coach Miles is not a good fit for LSU. He's been with LSU for five seasons now, and, it is time to move on. Fantasizing and teenage girl reasoning won't change the reality of the situation.
